I love the appearance of the Emanuel plate very suitable and worth the price

I often serve dishes that are a bit liquid/mobile but yet I don't want to pile them into a bowl -- this is the perfect plate with a deep rim it's more like a bowl than a plate. You can cut things on it of course with the nice wide bottom but your salad dressing isn't going to run off the edge of the plate while you're cutting your steak. It is the right size for use with a dinner salad as well. I love blue and white so the combo works for me. Enamelware is pretty sturdy and this set is no exception. The glaze appears good with no bubbles, blobs, or things that would make you think it is going to chip eventually. Evaluating the back of the rolled rim, it is clean and completely enameled properly.

Arrived tightly wrapped in plastic - chips floating around inside wrapping!! Had to throw away when told not to return; didn't feel safe even trying to use!!

If you're looking for a healthy surface to eat off of porcelain steel leaves a glass like coating that doesn't absorb and cleans up nice. We bought these to eat off of everyday and they are holding up well. We like the larger lip around the edge since many of our meals have some sort of liquid this lip keeps it from dripping and it also helps with scooping up things that want to slip off the fork. They are a bit plain and boring(would love to have more colors!) but work well and have held up after months. Quality is acceptable and what you might expect from cheap plates.
