I just bought this along with the three other new Lord of the Rings Lego sets. It's a quaint little set, not a lot of action features, nor does there need to be given the scene. I will say however, the trees and the contrast of foliage are well designed. I'm hoping this is part of a larger Rivendell expansion.My only real complait with the set is in the choice of minifigures. We've yet to get an elderly Bilbo Baggins, and this would be the perfect set to include him in. Plus, I think there's too many Gimlis throughout this series. This is the fourth set he's been included in, while certain figures, like the Hobbits (Sam, Pip, and Merry) are hard to find. On the other hand, I'm glad to see Elrond and Arwen.Well anyway, it's a good set for a good price. Like I said, I'm hoping Lego expands more on the LOTR lines. There's still a lot of Middle Earth we haven't seen yet.

My grandson loves Legos and has been into the Lord of the Rings. I almost forgot to order a birthday gift, afraid I left it too late. I ordered this and was told the earliest it would arrive was the day after his birthday, which is an eternity to a 10 year old. However, it arrived on his birthday and was a huge hit. He put it together immediately!
