MacMaxe Stainless Steel Steam Wand for Rancilio Silvia (V1/V2) Espresso Machine with Single and Triple Hole Tip Nozzle

I have the Pannarello steam wand broken the 3rd times and decided not to buy the same anymore, though it's good to use but touched the hot steam everyday will shorten its life obviously. I believed this MacMaxe wand is originally for Rancilio Silvia but can be replaced the Pannarello easily as well, so a long way from the States to Taiwan, it's pretty worth the waiting. You'll need one each 12mm and 9mm wrench to detach and install the steam wand from Gaggia, and don't forget the rubber o-ring inside, the 9mm for installing the nozzle. 3 holes nozzle has a more average steam to compare with the traditional one hole, Voilà!

If you are modding a delonghi ec702 or any other machine PLEASE read this: this does not fit your braided water line and does not fit into the hole for your steam want, you will need to break off a piece in the steam wand lever switch to get it past and into place and then apply soapy water to help lubricate the tube on. This mod took me 5 hours. If you do not deeply love whatever machine you are trying to mod, please, please just buy a different machine with a better steam wand. The two steam nozzle options are great, it fitted perfectly on my Gaggia Classic, 5 minutes to change and the stainless pipe and nozzles are much better than the chrome plated brass. The machining is excellent and very neatley done.

Fits my Gaggia Classic perfectly. Make sure you save the nut from your old wand if you're using this on the Gaggia, as the nut that come with it doesn't fit.I find the one hole nozzle works much better for the Gaggia.

This seems like a really nice product but it did not seem to make nice microfoam with my Delonghi Stilosa. My espresso machine has limited steam pressure so I couldn't seem to get the three hole tip to work well but I think that tip will probably work better on a more expensive machine. The single hole tip just wanted to spit and introduce too big bubbles into the milk. It was moderately easy to install but I took it back off because I could get better foam with the rubber tip that came with the espresso machine. The rubber tip has a single hole as well so I don't really think that the failure of the new wand was a result of operater failure. It seems like a nice product but I concluded that it wasn't for me.

used this wand to upgrade the panarello I had on my Gaggia espresso color.since it sat on a ball joint, I had to DIY my way around installing this wand, and ended up using a bunch of superglue and silicon. not the best option, but best I could get in a single day.I like the fact it comes with 2 tips - single hole and triple hole. it's convenient to try both kinds and decide which is better for your machine's steam output (I ended up using the single hole).although DIY, I think it looks and functions great: the previous panarello was too short for me to steam different amounts of milk in different sized pitchers, so I often used more milk than I wanted.However.the tip and bottom part of the wand get too hot. way too hot. when done steaming, I immediately wipe down my steam wand with a rag. the thing is, because this wand gets so hot, the milk sticks to it before I get a chance to clean it up. this leads to a lot of frustrated rubbing, trying to use water, wiping all around while having to hold the wand with the other hand (I had to glue the nut to the mounting piece so it will probably break if I am too rough with it) and an overall annoying experience.I accept this as a tradeoff - worse cleanup for better milk steaming. just be aware of this when you buy this wand.

This replaced the wand on my Graggia Titanium machine! Works well. The Graggia wand had plastic in it that would melt and clog it and then the tip would fly off - this one doesn't have that issue which makes me think it will outlast my machine!

It really does make a difference as to what your steam wand can do. I switched my stock steam wand out from my delonghi and it works a lot better. I'm happy with my purchase.
