Oh my goodness, you get so much paint with this. lol It's all a great price too when you consider how much you are getting. I have always loved everything I get from this brand and this is no exception. The paint is great for beginners and for me, someone who just likes to paint as a fun hobby. I use them thick as is, and sometimes water them way down and use like water colors and they work great both ways. The colors are beautiful, well chosen and you get fifty different colors, which is amazing. I also really like the included mini palette, I like lots of little spots to hold the colors, and a large area to mix in, and this has both.Only thing is, I don't carry this by the handles, but from the bottom. It's so heavy, and I don't trust those handles to not break and leave my paints flying towards the ground.

I usually paint with oil or watercolor, but I was intrigued by gouache after watching an excellent Skillshare course on the medium. When this set arrived, I was impressed by how much paint it includes. It took about 30 minutes to unpack the set and peel off the tops of the paint. Not only is there a large variety of paint, but the pigments are strong and resulted in some great colors in my test painting.Given this is my first experience with gouache, I was incredibly impressed. The course I watched said it's a great water-based medium for oil painters and I agree. It has similar blending properties to oil, but dries very quickly like acrylic, making is fantastic for test paintings and quick sketches. Overall, I absolutely love this set. It's a steal at this price and I plan to invest more time in the medium!
