Q: How do I set the latitude and longitude? We are purchased but do not have instructions.

Several steps: 1) Adjust feet to bring unit to level according to the spirit level in base. 2) Rotate unit so that compass needle points to North. Use the tensioning knob to calm down the movement for easier/more accurate placement. 3) Find your current latitude from publication or sextant/tables. 4) Fold up the triangular arm and the curved arm. 5) raise the top part (fold up) of the unit to an angle matching your latitude. Use the graduations on the curved arm.
