Yes it's lay down your edge. No it's didn't up my hair but make sure you brush your hair while applying the gel.

Is this product good for twists?

It has a good hold but it does tend to get dusty looking. Lint will gather wherever you put the edge control. Make sure you wear a silk bonnet. But yes, it is good for the ends of twist not the root.

Did it melt in the sun?

It melted before I made it out the bathroom

I brought the gold container and love it. Is there a difference in the produce in the pink container?

I could be wrong but it looks like the only difference is the scent. Pink is strawberry
