Excellent quality. Not ideal as a compost sifter. Useful though!
I bought this as a worm compost sifter. A rotating trommel would be better but this ill work but moisture is an issue. I created my own graduated screen set with red oak and hardware cloth so I can sort different mediums. This can be used for quite a bit, even some seeds! I used it to separate the chaff from okra seeds. I have sifted a lot of compost, it's just slow. Missing a rubber foot due to poor packaging though. The build quality and value for price is pretty good. I have to replace the cheap crappy chinese power cord after 1 season but that's to be expected with made in china products/pricing.

Only works with dry material
The shaker box doesn’t vibrate enough to separate material, and the contents inside the bin have to be moved along manually. What I’ve come to realize is that, unless the materials you’re putting into the bin are absolutely dry, it won’t work effectively. The seller didn’t include any sort of instructions, so I had to look at the pictures of the item to put it all together. I had really high hopes for this to work for me. It seemed like it would save me a massive amount of time for what I need it for, and I am disappointed in its performance. The seller had contacted me after reading the review, and has issued a full refund for me, which I appreciate greatly. If in the future they make something more efficient for materials that are wet, I may consider trying it.

Great sifter for Worm Castings and Worm Separator
Been sifting bins with a Miners Pan and that was hard on my arthritis/back and time consuming. Since my worm farm is getting bigger, I needed something that was faster/easier than the pan. It got here in record time and the first time I used it I processed 4 bins (24" x 16") in an hour. The casting on the side and the worms/cocoons out the end. A couple small things to correct but it is a great investment.

Whats in a name?
I was sorely misled by the company name of this product. I thought this would work great for my off-grid plumbing/septic system on our mobile home. Since the missus can't seem to give up her bi-daily habit of 3 Taco Bell chalupas with fire sauce, a family size bag of Doritos and a waste-bin sized Baja blast, I needed something to sift through her leavings for any valuables or household items incidentally sucked into the vortex she calls a mouth, not because I need them back, but because it costs $500 every time I call the septic crew out. Needless to say, once I found out this was for gold, I headed down to the local creek and found a whopping pay streak.
