Update...originally I gave this 3 stars and felt it was just ok. You can read my review below. However, after talking to a few people who come in my house, they say the cigarette smell has definitely improved. I am nose blind to the cigarette smell. I thought the spray was overpowering and didn't smell great. But it does work and the smell of the spray neutralizes, isn't very strong at all and is pleasant after it spreads around the house. I would definitely recommend this product now! I spray it around ashtrays and on the floor and my recliner before bed everynight and overnight, it takes away the smell of smoke from that day without leaving a strong replacement smell. I also use it an hour or so before I know a non smoker is coming over, but a smaller amount of sprays. You want to give it some time for the scent to spread around and get rid of the smoke smell, otherwise your guests will be overwhelmed by the strong scent of the spray. It's all about using sparingly, in the best places and giving it time to do its job!Original review...this is just ok. This spray is a much better smell than stale cigarette smoke. But I am not loving the smell. It is a bit cinnamon a bit lemony. It works as advertised. It is very potent, only spray a small amount.

My friends and I use this every time we go on vacation and want to get away with smoking in the room or rental car. It is very strong. In fact, the first time my friend and I used it on a vacation to Denver we were nervous that it might not work and sprayed a TON the first couple days before we really trusted it. We only had 1/3 of the bottle left by the last few days because we wen't so crazy with it in the beginning. After a few drinks we came up with the bright idea to dilute by adding some water. Even though that decision was questionable it worked amazing. I almost preferred it a bit, because it wasn't quite so overpowering.This worked great for us smoking occasionally on a short term basis. I'm not sure how it would hold up if you were smoking everyday in your house. The only warning I would give is that if you spray it in the direction of any furniture or anything it will leave little residue drops that you will have to clean up, so aim for the air and have fun.

This stuff works like a charm, but... it only works for a short time. Still, great product. If you're thinking of giving up smoking and are doing a decent job at it. It helps a lot to keep the smell of cigarette smoke out. Like I said, it doesn't last for long. If the room is big and has carpets, it will take more product to 'mask' the smell, but if you vacuum and stop smoking in that room and clean the walls and furniture... in 2 days the smell is gone for good. It gives off a woodsy lemon smell at first but when you get the smell of cigarettes/cigar smell out, it smells amazing (smells can evoke memories and the memory I get is a batch of fresh baked cookies with a dash of... cinnamon maybe?). It smells great. If you have home you're trying to sell or an apartment.... use this stuff. It works great. BTW: I gave it 4 stars for one reason, I don't like the smell of cinnamon but it smells better than cigars and cigarettes.

I've used Ozium for a few years now and really like it. So far nothing works better to combat the smell of death wafting out of the men's restroom at work. I was hoping I'd like Smoke Be-Gone because it's non aerosol formula and I love the fresh smell of lemon. Unfortunately after trying it I'm not a fan of this product despite the many favorable reviews on Amazon. In my opinion it doesn't have a pleasant lemony scent but closer to that of Murphy's oil soap and it's difficult to produce a mist or spray. Instead I get a few random droplets of liquid even after rinsing out the nozzle. It does have some staying power although the scent changes over time to something not even close to lemon. I'm not a smoker but I do believe this product could work to mask the scent of cigarette smoke or maybe even smelly shoes. For the price I paid it was worth trying and I now have a back up source should I ever run out of Ozium.

Not sure how long the product works but all I can say is I rented a car with a buddy of mine we went on a 4389 mile road trip the car was supposed to be a ( non-smoking ) car and my body is a very heavy three pack a day smoker 🙈 Got back from our trip I vacuumed out the car wiped out all the dashboard and door panels with a microfiber towel and then sprayed the entire bottle over the carpets and seats in the car and returned it to the rental car company 30 minutes later and they did an inspection on the inside and out and said the car look good and smell good so I got 100% refund on my security deposit which I was scared that I was not going to get back at all due to my buddy smoking !

I bought a car from a smoker and wanted to get rid of the residual smell. For my rental homes, I used Vamoose which works GREAT. It has no smell, sprays on whatever, and a couple of days later the smoke smell is gone.This stuff is AWFUL. The spray is very acrid and makes you cough and it leaves a heavy chemical small. I have been baking my car in the summer sun to drive out the residual smell and it has been over 2 months, and the odor is still lingering.

This product really works. I discovered it at a local car wash. My neighbor smokes and occasionally it blows in my open window. Once the smell is in the room all I have to do a spray one spray and the odor is gone. Of course I have to close the window until he is done smoking, but at least it does not linger in the air after I have closed my window.One spray will freshen up a car as well. Nice gentle lemony scent. I am sensitive to chemical perfumes and tend to use essential oils in my daily living. I would recommend this product.Sometimes I even carry it in my purse and will spray in the air at the beach or outdoors around me when that smell of smoke lingers in the air. I tend to get a lot less frustrated and annoyed with smoking now that I have this quick fix.
