It's all in the wrist, the knack to getting this thing gliding is getting it spinning. Stick with it as you won't throw it well at first, takes some practice, but once you've got it it glides superbly.

It's a 175g Discraft Ultrastar. The only disc I've used for 30 years. Even for casual throwing on the beach, it just feels right.

Expensive, but flies perfect

This is the standard - as simple as that. Nothing else will do. Very expensive for a simple piece of plastic but anything else is a waste of money. Find the cheapest colour and enjoy - or go crazy and go for a glow in the dark model. Enjoy.

This is our second Discraft, after the first was lost on deep nettles. They are excellent in quality and provide a lot of confidence to kids learning (11-12 year old son), as they fly really well and are pretty forgiving. Well worth the extra few £$. They are rated the best on almost ever review site for a reason.

This thing can launch well far! My 11yr son and I love it.
