I don't usually write reviews but this is a frequently returned item. I want to say that if you return this knee compression sleeve without first trying it you could be making a big mistake. I'm 60 and have had knee pain my entire life. My knee caps didn't form correctly. Each has two pieces. That in itself causes pain. About 10 years ago I began experiencing tendon pain behind my knees. If I move the wrong way I experience tremendous pain. Physical therapy didn't help. Now I have osteoarthritis in both knees, so I've got some serious knee pain going on. Because of the birth defect, I have been wearing compression sleeves for athletics and ballet my entire life. I'm hard to fit because I'm very small and most knee braces are too big. I've tried them all - Curad, Copperfit, Copper Joint, Crucial Compression, JUDIQUIR (brand on Amazon), Ace and Futuro. They were either too large or having the same amount of compression over my entire knee area caused tendon pain. These are by far the best knee compression sleeves I've ever worn. They don't look what you might expect, but please give them a try. According to the package, these braces have 7 different zones of compression. The compression is light at both ends. That's good because you don't want them cutting off your circulation and you don't need compression in those areas. They have silicone dots at the top so they don't fall down. They are also very thin and lightweight. I can wear then under my yoga pants/leggings and you can barely see them! That's fantastic for me because that's the only kind of pants I wear. I tried them out for a couple weeks before writing this review. I try to stay active in spite of the arthritis and other problems and these are a big help. Activities that are painful for me include walking, going up and down stairs and using the leg weight machines at the gym. I've worn them for all these activities and I'm able to do them relatively pain free. I used to be a ballerina and once held a brown belt in karate, so I guess you could consider me an athlete. I intend to stay active for as long as I can and these compression sleeves are making it possible. So please don't be put off by the appearance of the knee sleeve. It looks different because it IS different, and all those differences make it the best knee compression sleeve I've ever worn. I ordered one pair to start with, and I've just ordered 2 more pairs so I can rotate them and have something to wear when the others are in the wash. I hope this company continues to make these compression sleeves for as long as I'm alive! I included photos of both the tan and black sleeves. It's easier to see the detail on the black sleeve. Please do yourself a favor and give these a try!

great compression for swollen knee. My only complaint is the silicone so I have been wearing inside out and haven't had any issues keeping it on my knee. Comes only one per package

To start off, I haven’t got a frame of reference to accurately compare this to since it is my first time wearing a knee compression sleeve. I work as a cashier for about 8 hours, then I walk home for half an hour and if I have chores or errands to run I can end up going the whole day on my feet without a break which is hard on my right knee and my weak ankles, my 30-40 lbs weight gain and zero exercise liekly doesn’t help things either AND after running around an uneven yard my knee was hurting me more than ever when I went up and down the stairs. Today I decided to try the sleeve and thankfully it’s only my ankles that hurt today. My knee feels rested, it doesn’t ache when I bend it or give me that pinching feeling on the right side as it usually does. My thighs are around the 15” mark so I went with the size medium sleeve. Throughout the day I was very aware of the compression on my thigh and I wasn’t sure if that sensation was just distracting me from my usual knee discomfort or if I really wasn’t having any. I’m not sure how less compressive the large would have been but it might be best to size up if your very close to it and are sensitive to very tight fits. I might order a large if after a few days this medium size one begins to hurt on the more active days. I included a picture of my leg right after removing the sleeve.
