Good for around town errands
We have been using a pillow stack (large, square, firm floor pillows, not bed pillows) covered in an easily washable twin fitted bed sheet for our pup, combined with her shoulder harness attached to the car seat with a short, shock-absorbing lead for safety. Our beloved but now passed previous dog, a 24 pound puggle, loved this setup, as does our current pup (an 11 pound chi-min terrier mix) on everything from short errands to multi-day car trips. Just like people, to avoid motion sickness they need to be able to see outside during the ride. They also they love feeling involved in the adventure, plus it's important to have them secured in case of an accident or even just a hard braking, and to prevent them from distracting or interfering with the driver. The only problem with the pillow stack is that it's a bit of a job on the odd occasion when it needs to be moved between our vehicles. In looking for a quicker, easier way to accomplish some of the same advantages of the stack but in a package that's easier to move and set up, we decided to try this booster seat.Pros - the seat is indeed easy to move between vehicles, the height is adjustable, and it keeps them secure and able to see out, occupied, involved, and (mostly) satisfied during the ride. Cons - it wouldn't have been nearly big enough for our puggle (the size of a pug), and is barely big enough for our 11 pound chi-terrier. She can sit up in it, but laying down even in a curled up position is a little cramped and not nearly as comfortable as her pillow stack. To be able to see over the edge of the basket without her chin resting on the edge with her head tilted up semi-uncomfortably, she has to be sitting up, not stretched out or in the Sphinx position, as she likes to ride on her stack. That gets tiring for her on anything but short errands around town, so we'll still use her pillow stack on longer car trips. Also, this booster seat isn't very well padded, but that's easily fixable. I could tell she was having a hard time staying comfortable, so I got 1" thick foam from the hobby or sewing department of a big box store, cut it to fit, and placed it in the bottom of the booster seat under the fleecy liner. She seems to be more comfy and less fidgety now and can see over the edge a little better while laying down curled up, but of course it does nothing to give her enough room to stretch out or do the Sphinx. It's too bad they don't offer a slightly larger model with the basket bottom just an inch or two wider and/or deeper (front to back) without the sides being taller.

Perfect seat
Purchased for my senior doggy who loved riding in the car, I as well as she both loved this. She weighed 13 pounds and she fit perfectly in it and she'd go to sleep instantly every time, unfortunately she is no longer with me so I donated it to someone else who has a baby that loves car rides.Pictures of her doing what she loved to do best 🥹

Have had this seat since 2017 :)
The media could not be loaded. My doggie is 12 lbs. I use a harness and clip my baby in his seat. I was going to post a 2017 and 2024 video of him in the same car seat but only allows one video so the most recent one above. When I first introduced the seat it took him a few car rides for him to really get used to it, but it has been so many years of bliss since then. So much better than running loose in the car climbing on me! I call him my copilot and always in the passenger seat next to me enjoying the ride and sights. I roll down the window during our slow rides throughout town and keep windows up during our highway journeys in which sometimes he will curl up and fall asleep in his seat during our longer journeys. Very easy set up make sure you have a car that has head rests that raise up so you can strap onto the bars, I adjusted the height of mine this way otherwise he be lowered into seat below the window views. I often take down and put up his seat and is easy to do so. Hope my review helps!

The product is made of quality materials and is a thoughtful design for small dogs to travel safely.
The installation instructions were very easy to understand and the suggestion to move the passenger seat all the way back to avoid contact with the airbag should it be deployed.

Helpful for anxious pup car riders!
Received this item in a couple days with Prime shipping... Prior to even looking for something to have in the car to transport our pup (she was 10 wks when we first got the carrier, about 3 lbs; she's now 16 wks and about 5 lbs), she was very anxious and nervous in the car. She would go back and forth btwn my husband and I, didn't matter who was driving. She would whimper and try to crawl up onto our shoulders. Trying to drive by yourself with her was quite a challenge! When the carrier arrived, it did have that distinct "new" smell that other reviewers have mentioned. We added one of her blankets in it and we laid it on the floor in my office, where I spend a lot of the daytime, so she could smell it and get used to seeing it. The first afternoon after setting it up this way, she fell asleep in it right on her own (see photos). Usually she'll want to nap in my lap or office chair while I'm working. We also purchased a harness to hook up to the clip in the carrier, instead of connecting it directly to her neck collar. I also put a blanket/stuffed animal pillow set I got from Costco into the carrier so she wouldn't be at the bottom of it since she's so tiny. The first few times we put her in the carrier in the car, she was still anxious, but did not try to jump out of it. It was great for us cause we didn't have to worry about her trying to climb btwn my husband's lap and my lap. It's been about a month since we received the carrier and we try to take her for short car rides maybe 2-4 times/week. We have used the carrier to take her on a car ride that was just over an hour. She's not as anxious or nervous on rides now, and is just starting to get comfortable in napping in it while in the car.Overall, the quality of the carrier seems to be pretty good and it's holding up well. The "fur" lining sheds a little but doesn't bother us. The "new" smell is not as strong as when it first arrived, but it is still there. The strap adjusts well and we can run in btwn the 2 head rests in the back of my car (Honda Fit) and in the front row of my husband's truck (Dodge Ram - see photos). The strap can be adjusted to be short enough to have her be able to see out the window in front too (Fit - see photos).Great product, would definitely recommend to others. If you have a smaller pup, like us, I'd advise to add a small pillow or something more plush into the carrier so your pup can see out of the top.
