Q: Is this knife available for left-handers?

A traditional kitchen grind is double sided bevel, so there is no left or right handed difference. The double sided bevel just means both sides of the blade are ground to the edge at the same angle. Some Japanese slicing knives are beveled on only one side to allow them to be even sharper. A 15% bevel on each side is a 30% angled blade edge. A 15% bevel on one side is a 15% edge. The lower the percent, the sharper the edge. But also, the weaker the edge, it will be thinner and more prone to rolling or denting. If you only have a bevel on one side, then you have made the knife “hand specific.” Sushi slicers are often ground this way.

Q: How do I make it sharp? Dull out of the box.

You could return the knife and get on that is sharper out-of-the-box, or sharpen it yourself. Since this is an Asian knife with a 15 degree angle blade, it will not hold the sharp edge for long. I have a Chef's Choice manual sharpener that does a great job sharpening both Asian (15 degree) and Euro (20 degree) blades. It also sharpens serrated blades. Whether you keep this knife or replace it, you will eventually need a good knife sharpener unless you plan to replace your knives every time they get dull.

Q: How does the handle feel when it gets wet or full of juice, etc.? Is it slippery?

In my experience, my grip on the handles is good whether the handle is wet or dry. Not slippery.
