Great Quality, Natural
I wasn't sure that I would like this product given that other reviewers said that it was too rough for them. I went ahead and bought it because it was important for me to find a good quality brush, with natural fibers, that wouldn't get moldy. (I had previously had an Earth Therapeutics long handled brush with the little plastic-y nobby "massagers" on the other side. I would always hang that one up to dry and still the massager side developed some mold, and that was unacceptable to me.) This brush is very firm, but just go gently. I really can feel it, my blood circulating after I brush my body, my skin is noticeably smoother and brighter. I never use it on my chest/neck/face because it's too rough for me. Note that I do actually use this as a dry brush but in the shower, but plan to start using it properly as a dry brush in the future. The one flaw is the long, wooden handle that accompanies the brush. I have not fiddled with it very much but the first couple of times I attached the handle, the brush immediately fell off. Oh well, not a big deal for me. I actually like to hold the brush itself, fits great in my hand. If it's important to you, I can see it being a very easy fix.

it would be pretty nice, the bristles are of good quality and ...
This brush is NOT "one piece". It is TWO pieces - a brush head glued onto a handle. The head fell off after only two uses. Mind you, if it WERE actually a one piece brush, it would be pretty nice, the bristles are of good quality and the brush head is nice and big. But unless you want to be stuck with a wooden stick and a cury brush rather sooner than later, I would strongly recommend you shop on... I returned both of the brushes I bought, one in two pieces and the other one already wobbly in the shower in less than 1 week. I've been around this mulberry bush before - NEVER buy a bath brush that consists of a brush glued onto a handle. This is a case of false advertising.

Just great
Great bath brush. I've used it in the shower and its like a cool swimming pool, afraid at first but once you're in if feels great. Once you get used to having a slightly abrasive brush on your tender skin it feels wonderful. Exfoliating and brushes the stress away. I highly recommend this bath brush. It comes with a wand handle that slides into the back of the brush, which will be great for a back scrub. But without it it feels good in the hand and there is no worry of dropping it onto your toes. Lather up and scrub away, best shower I've taken ever! And now I don't have to buy those nylon pillow -throw away- scrubbers that I've never liked anyway. Best money spent in a long while....!

This dry brush = Amazing!!!
After I got turned on Kris Carr, I learned all about dry brushing and began researching it on my own. I did a lot of research and this was the best dry brush I found by far. It is very sturdy and holds up when when you wash it every now and again. Does a great job scrubbing your extremities...even the hard to reach spots. Would not recommend using this on your face; I tried that and the bristles and brush are too big and too harsh. Use this brush for everything but your face...get a smaller brush for your face to protect that delicate part of your body. I like to dry brush every morning before I jump in the shower...but don't forget to moisturize when you get out and dry off...because your skin can become somewhat raw if you don't give it a little moisture after brushing off your top layer of dead skin cells. I love to moisturize with Crabtree & Evelyn's Jojoba Oil...does miracles on my skin and especially dry spots like my elbows!

Ouch! Is this body brushing or body scraping?
I'm new to body brushing (dry brushing to stimulate lymph nodes head to toe). Never used one before so I was not sure what to expect other than firm, soft bristles. When I received this item, the bristles were stiff and not soft at all. In fact, it felt like sandpaper! Ouch! By all means, I do not have sensitive skin. Is this how body brushing supposed to be or is there some sort of 'break in' period I should know about? My skin can't take the stiffness even at light brushing. Something tells me this body brush is not supposed to be like this. To give you an idea of how stiff these bristles are, I can confidently clean grout stains with this (by comparison to my actual grout cleaning brush with plastic bristles).

OMG - This HURTS
This brush is DEFINITELY NOT a DRY body brush - a wet shower back brush, perhaps. But yeooowwww - brush this on your dry skin and your will fully exfoliate your epidermis, scratch your delicate tissue, causing it to bleed, leading to potential infections from the abrasions. This is true no matter how gently you brush with this stiff-bristled tool. Not sure what brush tool others got when they ordered, but unless you have the skin of a rhinoceros, elephant, hippopotamus or other pachyderm, this brush is NOT for dry skin brushing. Plus, the brush comes with a long detachable handle - looks like a wet bath back brush, and in fact, I believe that's what this brush really is. Try the Berben International soft texture jute body brush - it's more expensive, for sure, but you won't require medical intervention to address the rips and tears to delicate skin after dry brushing . . .

I can't believe I lived without this brush!
I jump in the shower, and while dry, I scrub my whole body in a circular motion. I read you should push toward your heart. When I am working on my back and legs, I find this tough, but I keep going around and around. My chest is tender, so I don't use it there. I soap up my bits and pits once the shower starts. I simply rinse the rest of my body off. My skin looks and feels AMAZING. Without stripping the oils, but by removing the dead skin, my skin glows. My dry feet and hands are moist and smooth. And a wonderful side effect is the cellulite is diminishing as it gets great blood flow through stimulation. I am giving the brush as a gift to all my friends and family this year. Dry brushing is one of those things you hear about but it sounds so painful and unlikely, I just didn't believe it would work. What a miracle!

Great product. Great Seller. High quality. These brushes will probably last for many years. The long handle is detachable, which is perfect, as you can get more pressure without, then with the handle attach you can use on your back.
