We have a string of these in the field with our horses. We first tried disposable traps but they filled with dead flies so quickly they became uneconomic. These are as efficient but much cheaper to use over time. They are easy to use and refresh, but be aware of the stench of rotting fly carcasses when you empty them. The rate at which they fill depends on where they are located- there are hot-spots of fly activity at different spots around the field perimeter, but we check and refresh on a basis of a week to ten day cycle. They've proved to be robust enough to stand buffeting by high winds and multiple refreshments. Our horses ignore them. They work extremely well and are recommended.

I've used another brand previously, with an identical bottle and that worked really well- but this one did not. The other product had brown powder and said to put 300ml of water in the bottle. This one was white powder and said to put one litre of water in the bottle (in instructions badly translated into English). If I'd put a litre of water in the bottle, there would have been no room for any flies. I put in quite a bit, but three weeks later I had caught the grand total of one fly between two bottles. There are still millions of flies happily buzzing around my house.

I had loads of flies in my small garden by back.door nothing worked, they also congregated under my brolley. Input this product on window ceil by back door and it's amazing. Dosent look great and I feel a be cruel, but no more flues. Will definitely buy more.

Put them in garden but still flies everywhere

These are ok, but strings on the caps are too short. Also they become too hard to empty if you let them dry out as flies get stuck en bloc

Waste of money. Has been hung up in my garden for a week and not one fly has gone near it. I used a different make last year and couldn’t believe how many flys were caught in a really short time (cant find that make now).THIS ONE “waste of money” in my opinion
