I use a physical exfoliant regularly and wanted to try something different - the Gnarly Joe is a non-abrasive facial mask which brightens and deeply cleanses skin, you also receive a moisturiser to hydrate and nourish the skin.I have oily combination skin with visible pores - I used the 5 Minute Face Boost this morning and today, I have noticed that my skin isn’t as oily as it would usually be and my skin actually looks so much brighter.The mask is really easy to use, it applies really nicely and can be used on both wet and dry skin. The thing I like about this mask, is that you do not need a lot of product at all therefore the bottle will last a really long time - it also states this on the bottle, a thin layer on your face is all you need to benefit from the product. The mask has a light refreshing spearmint fragrance which isn’t overpowering and gives the mask a cooling sensation.Once rinsed, my skin feels really clean and refreshed - the moisturiser is really nice also, its lightweight and absorbs nicely. I find some moisturisers for men quite heavy and can leave my skin feeling tacky, this isn’t the case at all with this product. Skin feels hydrated, nourished and soft - I also like rubbing it into my beard because why not?No fuss, easy to use, two-stage treatment for dull and tired skin - would recommend this to family and friends, can’t wait to discover more products in the Gnarly Joe range!

My partner is getting into face creams recently and enjoys a good skin pampering. I've never really researched male skincare before so I was skeptical about the size of these for the price, but it's actually very nice, and the branding is very cool!Pros:- Unique branding, so would make a good gift for a reluctant man- Gel seems to really work: skin feels really refreshing and squeaky clean after use- Skin feels tighter after use- Cream feels lovely on and smells really good- Don't need to use much of both as they spread quite easily- Really awesome list of ingredients: moisturising and nourishing, and no obvious nasties- Doesn't irritate sensitive skinCons:- Fairly priceyIs this worth the high price tag? It's hard to tell, but after a few weeks of use my partner's skin is feeling really good.The exfoliating gel feels nice and cooling on and does seem to really clean the pores. My partner washes it off with warm water and pats dry to not rub or aggravate the skin. It's best not to use it daily and dry the skin out, and by using it every other day my partner hasn't had any breakouts or issues with his dry skin; his skin just seems fresher and clearer, with possibly more even skin tone.The moisturiser is silky smooth and honestly smells great. It is quite thin so it glides across the skin and a little goes a long way which justifies the price tag, so you can use it sparingly to not make it too sticky. And it really does lock in moisture - again, without causing any breakouts or oiliness.Overall, I'd say this is a good skincare set, and a worthwhile gift set for a loved one. It's a great introduction to male skincare, and getting your partner into looking after his skin. It'll certainly get them in the routine and the ingredients seem to be doing the job. Recommended.

I know of this brand from its beard shampoo, which solidly out-performs almost everything else out there, so I was interested to see there was a skincare line. It absolutely delivers the same top-tier performance and is another winner from Gnarly Joe. It's like high-end skin food, and has immediate results in both look and feel.The face gel needs to be left on for five minutes, at the end of which you can physically feel it tightening and tautening the skin. It smells good, vaguely citrusy and floral. After washing that off you can apply the moisturiser, which has a pleasing spearmint scent. It goes on and absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy sheen. (I've found it also works amazingly as a pre and post shave cream, thanks to its effective moisturising.)Around three weeks into using this (six or so applications) I can say my skin is certainly feeling better, and being out in some foul freezing weather in that time (hello Storm Arwen!) it's good to take that extra care.I was surprised to see how small the bottle and jar were, going by the price I'd expected them to be larger. However, both the gel and cream require minuscule amounts with each application, and with this being just a twice-weekly thing they look set to last several months.Overall, of the products I've tried from this brand it is up there with anyone.

I find this product very easy to use and I really like the results. You put a few drops of the mask on and leave it for five minutes. During this time you can feel it tightening up the skin as it dries. After this gently wash off the mask and apply the moisturiser to the dried skin. You only need a small amount so this set should last a good amount of time.My skin feels soft and fresh and there is a very pleasant aroma and no sticky residue. Much like after an exfoliant scrub but without the harshness. Apparently it will reduce the appearance of fine lines - time will tell but it certainly seems to be helping keep my skin moisturised and fresh.I have been using the Gnarly Joe range for a couple of years now and have yet to be disappointed by a single product.
