Now that Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne) have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood: the suburbs. But just as they thought they'd reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a hard–partying, out-of-control sorority, led by Shelby (Chloe Grace Moretz). Mac and Kelly are forced to team up with their charismatic ex-neighbor and now secret weapon, Teddy (Zac Efron), since the ladies of Kappa Nu aren't going down without a fight.Bonus Content:Deleted ScenesGag ReelLine-O-RamaNu NeighborsThe Prodigal Bros ReturnGirls RuleThe Ultimate TailgateFeature Commentary with Co-Writer/Director Nicholas Stoller and Producer James Weaver]]>

It's Different for Girls
The first "Neighbors" film was decent enough but it didn't seem to loan itself to a sequel. Surprisingly this flick is a logical progression from its predecessor. When we left the first film Mac and Kelly (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) were coming to grips with the fact that not only were they parents but that they had become their parents. When we're reintroduced to them in the follow up they are at peace with that revelation but it's their former adversary Teddy (Zak Efron) who is having an identity crisis of sorts. Should he join the hard partying sorority girls who torment Mac and Kelly or his one time nemesis? Teddy doesn't so much as make a choice but have it made for him. Meanwhile the girls have issues to sort out of their own. Should they be bimbos or independent of the frat boys even though they like to party like them? The film has a high raunch factor for sure including numerous shots of a toddler playing with her mommy's sex toys but there's also a certain profundity to the enterprise. The film basically says it's alright to grow up as long as you don't sell out. Chloe Grace Moretz is a welcome addition to the franchise if it turns out to be a franchise. Here's hoping that films producers don't milk a good thing and go out on a high note. "Hangover III", anyone?

The gang is back....plus!
I found the first neighbors to be an odd combination of comedy and towards the middle turned serious and somewhat frightening. This one carries the comedy through the whole movie. Seth and Rose and expecting their 2nd child and want to move to the suburbs, the want to sell their house and oh no, a sorority movies in where the fraternity used to be. Zac is initially on the girls side but then they ridicule him as being too old so he defects to seth's side to get rid of the girls. This is more fun but also had some very poignant scenes. Dave Franco, for instance. Zac does not want to grow up and his college friends have to make him. I loved this because there was more meat on this old bone and because everyone performed above and beyond. I do recommend this still raunchy type of movie to those that are interested.

Seth Rogen - schon wieder
