Very high quality steel rifle bullet trap. Does need to be assembled. Well designed and manufactured. Must use rubber mulch in the trap. Top opening allows easy filling with mulch. Does have a handle on top but you need to be a weight lifter to handle trap once assembled and mulch added. Plan to assemble it where it will be placed for use as a trap. Very quiet in use. sturdy, heavy, handles 5.56 with no dents. this will last hundreds of rounds and it has replaceable inserts, its a life time purchase, would buy again but dont need to

This is a very tough trap as it will stop .357 & 44 magnum ammunition without damage. The back plate is made from 3/8" A500 steel and did not dent or bulge from bullet strikes. I have also shot 9mm & 45ACP along with 30-30 rifle, showing no wear to the plate. Weighing 31 pounds it will stay in place, but it also has 2 holes for staking to the ground. Lead is retained inside the trap. It is well worth owning.

Came missing the rubber. Called the manufacturer and had it the day after. Just used it today for the 1st time. Took a 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor at 50 and 100 yards perfectly. Was heavy enough that it didn't move when hit, and foam in the front held up very well. I've been shooting for 40 plus years and am an instructor. I'm impressed. Great product.

I use this for .22 pellets fired w a PCP air rifle. About 10% of the pellets bounce out so you end up with flattened pellets on the ground sprinkled in front of the trap. Lead pellets flatten so they don’t ricochet, but not sure what steel or copper might do.

This target will be imbedded into a sandy slope for large caliber air rifle PCP target practice. A surprising price drop was implemented just prior to my receipt of the target, and it took some dickering with the vendor to get two extra target face inserts as compensation for the value of the price drop. He was correct in claiming that he did not have to make his generous concession, but with the Amazon policy, I could have returned the target for full refund minus return shipping costs. This positive review is in lieu of the cost of return shipping, and I would have written it anyway, because I intended to keep the target and possibly buy a second one. I intend to place this target between two lighter .22lr traps and protect the front edges with 2x4 pressure treated outside frames. The completed home range will be about 70 yards long, and will have the requisite 30 degree rise behind the target, as well as a safe half-mile natural over-shoot protective "landing zone"for any flyers that might occur. Fortunately, pellets do not have the long range trajectory of boat-tailed high velocity firearm bullets, and the air rifle report can be concealed by the sound of the high-pressure compressor running to resupply to large volume of air these rifles consume. I look forward to completing this project in a month or two, after more urgent projects are completed, and I'll submit a photo at that time.

No complaints, does what it’s designed to do. Brought the rubber mulch from Lowe’s, at 1/3 the price.
