I needed straws for a lesson aid to teach my students about insect proboscis. These worked brilliantly, and I didn't feel guilty buying them since they are non-plastic and biodegradable. I used them at my last dinner party and they were a hit. They last many hours, even in hot liquids, and do not have a taste or smell like other eco-friendly straws I have used in the past.

I love that these are biodegradable but not soft like paper so they don’t get mushy. These are awesome great for short cocktails.

These straws are perfect if you are looking to a substitute to plastic straws. They are sturdy, don't get soggy like paper straws and don't have that paper/cardboard taste like the paper straws. We used them for party and our guest thought they were wonderful. The texture is what caused them to ask about them. They do feel different than plastic and paper straws. But not in a negative way. Also, because they will take longer to breakdown, you can actually reuse them. We have washed several of them after one use and they hold up fine to a washing. We use the same straw brush we have for the metal straws we have for everyday use.

You can put these in a compost pile since they are biodegradable and am happy to not add to our land fill. They are sturdy and last awhile.

Had a great craft cocktail in a bar recently and was served one of these straws. It was such a pleasure that I put it in my pocket and took it home. Used it several times before I decided to try to find them on Amazon, and viola! here they are. They can be used over several times with a quick wash, but ultimately disposable in a friendly, compostable way.Highly recommend. Feels better than plastic and holds up great.

These a great non-plastic straws! Some details:o The feel is a thin reed-like texture.o They do NOT get soggy and fall apart like paper straws.o They are brittle, so not bite-able like plastic.o They are not so brittle to break with vigorous stirring or any normal use. Pretty durable for a non-plastic straw.o They are short FULL-sized width straws... Not cocktail sippy straws. This isn't clear in the product description.So, overall - Great alternative to plastic, which will eventually biodegrade. Do wish they had a real cocktail slow-sipping alternative.

I really like these cocktail straws! I am striving to reduce use of single-use plastic and found these to stock our bar for a small family wedding. Worked perfectly -- don't get soggy or have no taste. Love that they can be tossed in with compost.
