I have an empty fireplace and wanted some lights or something to make it look cosy. I was looking for fairy lights but stumbled across this. It's only small and I wouldn't really want it out on display, but you can't see it in the fireplace when it's unlit. But when it's dark and you light it it's gorgeous! It looks like embers in the grate and it flickers like a real fire. I bought a second one, so every evening when we sit at the table, I "light the fire" 😆 It looks so cosy!

Absolutely loved this. Used it in a Christmas display. I put it in a small cinerator bin to make it look like that there was a real small fire burning. All my neighbours loved the look.

Love this but wish it was larger, wish it had remote, but its great and makes a dark unused stove cosy

Far too small for a fireplace would have been brilliant twice the size.

I've been looking for a fire effect module to fit a particularly small antique hearth. Unfortunately the space is too small for any of the better quality units. So, I bought this to try for size, and have subsequently bought a second one. Side by side they fit perfectly. OK so its small, quite tacky and VERY expensive for what it is. But it will do what I need it to do until I find something better.For the price (when I bought the second the price had increased by £1!) I would have expected a far better quality flame effect, mains/rechargeable and a remote. What you get as a sturdy, surprisingly weighty lump of log-effect plastic that lights up and flickers. Its actually so tacky as to funny, but is as described and so no complaint or returns as I knew what I was buying. Just don't expect it to look, or perform, better in reality than it does in the images or the video. It doesn't! I don't expect i'll be keeping it for long!

Yes, this fireplace lamp is small - but the measurements are clearly stated in the description so it should come as no surprise when it arrives. It really is quite effective and flickers gently and realistically in the grate of my small fireplace (for use over the Christmas period and Hallowe'en next year). Pack a couple of logs and some lumps of coal around it and it will provide a delightful, and safe, flickering fire effect when you don't want to light the actual fire. For a more substantial effect, for a larger fireplace perhaps, it might be preferable to buy more than one, but this would be an expensive novelty. I gave the product 4 stars because of the rather high price tag, but also because I feel it would benefit from a timer option. I love it.
