CheckOutStore 50 Clear Storage Pockets (5 5/8 x 7 3/8)

My wife is a long time papercrafter and has a "scrap room" that occupies our entire finished basement. So, she has loads of dies and stamps. She uses vent closure magnets (the thin ones used to block a heater vent) for cutting die storage, and Avery Elle brand clear pockets to store them in. When I was reordering some on Amazon for her, they were sold out; I found these CheckOutStore jobbies by Amazon recommendation, and they are half the price of the AEs. With Prime shipping, what the heck, try 'em.So, do they stack up? Yes, with one caveat. They're exactly the same size as the AE brand. They feel to be the identical thickness. The closure seems to be just as "closey" (lol) and can be open and re-adhered similar to AE brand. The one thing that is different is the clarity: the AE pockets are slightly clearer, more see-thru, than these. My wife is very picky about her stuff, especially since she already has her die collection hanging on rotating, multi-tiered clip storage in AE pockets. I told her I'd be glad to return these; she said "no, let me try them". So, after a couple weeks (and a couple scrap shows buying new cutting dies...ugh!), I asked her about these envelopes. She told me they're just fine. They're plenty clear enough for her to see the stamps and dies within them, and they're not so different from the AE pockets that they bother her. Yay!Only time will tell if the sides of these will tear, which is the other big concern of any storage pocket. If the bottom or sides rip, and new pockets need to be used often, it can eat into the cheaper cost of these quickly. For now, even with opening and closing and hanging, these seems to be holding up. Not one torn yet, and wife has used maybe 20-25 of them so far. Of course, only time will tell, so I'll update this review if she gets frustrated or runs into issues. I hope this info helped one of her fellow papercrafters out there. Thanks.Updated February 2018: Hi, everyone. It’s been over a year and I just ordered five packages more of these for my wife, so I thought I’d update the review with this comment...she uses these exclusively now, no more Avery Elles. She continues to feel that these are great, and has a couple hundred in use now and no issues, no problems. A huge advantage of these is that AVery Elles are not always in stock, or the Amazon seller varies. With these CheckOutStore models, they seem to always be in stock with the same Amazon seller. Anyhow, winner. And we have no clue what CheckOutStore is, and did not get any discounted or free products for a pinkie promise to give a good review; we bought these just like you all are thinking of doing. 😊

I bought these to use as economical storage for dies and stamp sets. They are serving their purpose well and I've had zero issues with them. The price and quality are outstanding. I would be comfortable recommending these to any of my fellow crafters.One more thing: small versions of these would probably make excellent shaker pockets.

After much surfing, price comparison, and review reading, I ordered these storage pockets to store my dies in. They're fantastic. I ordered the 5 5/8 x 7 3/8 so they would hold my larger sets. For some sets, I cut up magnetic vent cover to just under the bag size, glued recycled, thin cardboard to the back of it (a Ritz box and a cereal box), and it fit perfectly. For smaller sets, I used photo magnet sheets and simply peeled off the backing and adhered them to the cardboard. If I need more, I'll definitely reorder these.

Organizing my craft room so I was able to put my embossing folders in one of the bags, label it and file alphabetically. After 50 pockets I didn't have enough to start my dies so I had to wait to reorder! With the reorder on the way now, I am cutting a piece of magnetic sheet (vent covers!!!), adhere to heavy board, and put my metal dies in order without worrying about the little pieces falling to the bottom of the bin....at worst they would fall to the bottom of the storage pocket now.

EXCELLENT QUALITY!!! I use storage pockets to organize and protect my stamps and dies. What a pleasant surprise finding these storage pockets not only less in price, but actually HIGHER QUALITY (sturdier, thicker plastic) than any of the name brands I've previously purchased. I really like them will never again buy another over-priced Avery Elle, Ellen Hudson or Simon Says Stamp storage pocket. Nuff' said.

THis was the second batch of bags of this size I bought. I use it to store shorter stamps. I just wish I would of bought their 100 bags instead to save myself money. But I wanted to try them first to see if I liked the quality of he bag and to see if I wanted to store my stamps this way. I also ordered the taller bags for the taller stamps so maybe I should of only ordered the taller bag to keep it all uniform... live and learn. Like the way my stamps are stored now

Great product, compatible with name brand pockets that cost more. I use these to store stamps and dies. I have purchased their pockets in another size also and found the same quality. Highly recommend.

This is my second order of these pockets and I love them for my cling stamps and dies. I didn't bother to count the first order as I expected there was the right amount of 50 in the packet and as I have shared some with my friend, I won't know until I get her to count what I gave her. The order that I received today only had 48. The packet did have a small rip about one quarter of the way across the top but I didn't think it was enough for any of the contents to come out. I have a third order waiting to be shipped so I will be counting them now. They are really great in my craft room just a bit disappointed about the amount. Oh well.....

I am really liking these clear pocket/sleeves. My stamp sets and die sets are finally organized, and so much space has been saved. The pockets are sturdy, and I have had only one split along it's side. To be fair I had a lot of A2 sized stamped panels ready to die cut , stuffed in the sleeve with a stamp and die set, so that is why it split on it's seam. They are sturdy though.

Great for keeping cards stored in. Be careful with the edges, I have split a couple, but overall great product.

Great product. I do with there was some way to secure the flap other than tucking it in, but I like them enough that this is my second order.

Perfect size for A2 embossing folders. Organizes them well. Flap works for what I am using it for.
