Good game for console
My first purchase of Diablo 3 was for PC. Compared to other PC games, this game is behind the times. But for console, the game seems entirely appropriate. I say this because the graphics on console weren't even near the top of the PC capability scale when the PS4 and Xbox One were released. Now consoles are well behind the PCs in many respects. There was a sale on this game by which I though to myself, "You know what? This game is probably good for console."It's a decent game that made me want to play through and start again. The game is pretty huge compared to a lot of modern games, but the graphics are old-school, cartoonish and very dark themed. The sounds and surround sound on this game are among the best I've heard. The controls are simple enough for console (keep pushing 'A' mixing in a little right trigger here and there and you'll do alright) and almost seem made for console. It will take around 30 hours to complete.Definitely a fairly linear adventure-type dungeon crawl action-style game with elements of RPG baked in. It's an A-button masher with Right-trigger supplements. The story line is Ok but not so immersive although it is one of those games that makes you want to play "just one more" dungeon and makes you want to achieve "just one more" goal before putting it away. So that is where they've made this an extremely likeable game. You're always on the cusp of finding out one more big thing or accomplishing one more big thing as part of the story. One part I don't like is you don't have any control over which skills you achieve from level to level. You can choose which ones you want to assign to the controller buttons, but you don't control the skill progression whatsoever.I like that you can choose from six different character classes, each with their own special skill set. On the other hand, once you get past the difference in visuals/audio, each character classes blends into the next as you start to see how one class's X-skill equates to another class's Y-skill. When an otherwise close range classed character type can do serious damage regularly at range, you know what I'm talking about. If you've played the other games in the Diablo series, you're going to not want to play anything less than the "Hard" level. "Normal" is definitely an introductory difficulty level and the default. Make sure you switch, otherwise you'll just veg out on the A-button.Overall, it's a very fun game, though as I was playing and thinking about the simplicity of the controls and the old-school graphics, I thought about how appropriate this game might be on an 8-inch tablet or larger phone screen. This game definitely does not advance the RPG or Action game genre in any way, but it is a fun and simple game which has burned a lot of my time.

Diablo 3: UEE is a fantastic dungeon crawler with addictive loot
Diablo 3 has had a spotty history on PC. When it was originally modified for console with last generation, it was refined into a great game that allowed for great co-op couch gaming. This version is no different, but with added perks. On the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Diablo 3 and Diablo 3: UEE, Blizzard could not make patch upgrades often like they do for their PC version, so it was painful sometimes to have major bugs not fixed or game enhancements not added. With the PS4 and Xbox One version of UEE though, consoles get the PC patches as well right after they hit and that is a huge perk. Blizzard adds so much content and refinements to the game through these consistent patches. The game's story is known to be weak, but it is still entertaining. The game draws a lot of its strength through the leveling and gear systems. It is so much fun to play and get better loot and turn up the difficulty more and more. It is even greater fun to play this with up to three friends and do this at home. Very few games still allow for couch co-op, and this one does it very well. Replayability is high as playing each class is a unique experience that each have multiple sets of gear and skills that are different from other classes. I have put in over 50 hours in this game and am still having a lot of fun.The only issue is if you play this online with others, be cautious about who you play with. Some online have hacked items that make the game boring make it a lot less enjoyable for you. I have not ran into this because I only play single player or with friends at my place. There are plenty of places online that have lists of players that are looking for others that don't cheat either. So that is a nice thing to look into if you want to play online.Great game with a lot of quality of life upgrades from the last gen version along with lots more content that keeps expanding through constant patches from Blizzard's support. Great buy!
