how can a circle have dimensions of 5.5 x 2.75?

I did not look at the dimensions when I bought it. I’ve had this ring almost 3 years and it’s sturdy and holds all the keys.

Hi .i need to enter the ring to very small holl, what is the width of the ring? is it a round shape material?

The material that makes up the ring consists of two spring wire coils side by side which together is about 5/32 of an inch wide and about 3/32 of an inch high. The ring would fit through a hole 1/4 of an inch in diameter tightly.
