It was also too small resulting in our throw the mail on the porch instead. To cover the mail slot, I sealed it with gorilla tape first, then cu a rectangular piece of 3/4" plywood to use as a mount for the new mailbox. I spray painted the plywood flat black to match the new mailbox before mounting it to the stucco wall. To stiffen the new mailbox, I drilled two more holes below the existing mounting holes and used four wood screws to attached it to the plywood for a more secure mount. Finally, I attached two small clear rubber bumpers on the wall to cushion the lid when it is opened.As I had a leftover open/close smart window sensor, I decided to attach it to the new mail box to provide an alert whenever our postman delivered the mail. Mounting the sensor inside the mailbox was unsuccessful as the metal enclosure blocked the signal to our home's smart hub. Mounting the sensor behind the mailbox lid and the magnet pickup on the lid itself (both also spray painted flat black to match) did the trick. Now, when the mail arrives, our dog barks like crazy (our original and most reliable alert) and I also receive a "mail call!" text message whether I am home or not! Pretty slick.

It looks very European and adds charm to my home.I got the orange color and I love it.It’s big enough for magazines and larger envelopes.I highly recommend it.

This mailbox looks generally good, but the manufacturing quality seems somewhat fair. It was not bad enough for me to return, but there were a number of issues right out of the box: (1) a small dent on the front that is pretty obvious from certain angles, (2) the powder coat finish is not totally smooth in certain areas, (3) the entire box is "out of plumb" - the top does not close flush to the box, the bottom is not level to the top -- it makes mounting somewhat difficult since it is not clear what level would really be.As noted, it looks good now that it is mounted, and the red gives a nice pop to the front of the house. Since this was just received, I cannot comment on how the color ages or fades.

Sturdy and very easy to install.

We installed this a few weeks ago and are happy with it. I will update if it fades or breaks.

I was looking for a sleek, mcm design and this mailbox delivered the aesthetic but lacked somewhat is crucial functionality. The hinges are extremely tight which makes opening and closing the lid tough even after we tried physically expanding the hinge and applying WD-40.

I bought this mailbox because my old one would get the post wet every time it rained/snowed. Quite pleased with how it looks on the house, it’s a fun pop of color. Installation was tricky because I have a brick house, but once I figured out the masonry bit business (as it did not at all line up with the old box) it was fast to hang. I added a felt pad to the back of the mailbox to buffer against the raw brick.
