LEUCHTTURM1917 - Notebook Softcover Medium A5-123 Numbered Pages for Writing and Journaling (Warm Earth, Dotted)

When taking notes, I use a system that combines a page number index with bullet journal practices. These notebooks are exceptional! The pages are the right weight, using either a ballpoint or micron pen with no bleed through. The numbering and printed lines/dots provide guidance without distraction. The size is perfect - not too big to be awkward, but big enough for kinesthetic learners who like to doodle as they take notes. I prefer the soft cover, these are easy to lay flat, bend when needed in my bag, and I generally will leave a pen or pencil on the current page and close the book with the elastic. A small pocket in the back keeps extra tickets or notes. Highly recommend!

This notebook is well-made and attractive. However, it is not especially suitable for use with fountain pens. Several inks I tried (including Noodler's and Pilot Iroshizuku) take too long to dry, bleed a little, and show through the page. If you write mainly with fountain pens, I would recommend Rhodia notebooks (made with Clairefontaine paper) instead.

I adore the colour 💛🧡 & the look & feel of this notebook. The synthetic cover is soft and pliable in the hand also very light in comparison to hard cover one. Be aware it comes with less pages which I personally don’t mind. I believe the hardcover books have 251 pages while the softcover book has 123 pages. If you are keen on using your fountain pens, you’ll want to make sure you use a notebook like Leuchtturm1917 as it contains fountain pen friendly 80g ivory paper, so it's a tad bit thin but very enjoyable to write on. Diese Notizbücher benutze ich schon jahrelang und kann sie nur weiterempfehlen,besonders die mit dem soften Einband.

Parfait, comme d’habitude avec les carnets de la marque. Il est bien avec des pointillés mais attention au nombre de pages, moitié moins que dans le carnet précédent que j’avais acheté.
