can these be use seperately by hanging each on the wall individually?

Not sure because I couldn't even get it to hang properly on the wall. They should be able to hang separate but will take some creativity. Honestly it's a hunk of junk. Mine went in the trash

What is the weight capacity?

Not sure what the actual number is but there is no way you can put enough paperwork in it to damage it in any way.The top file is the only full size one that would fit a thick book of any kind like a phone book or something.Since the rest slide inside each other the volume isn’t as much.

Does it come with letters A-E on the side of each box like in the picture?

Don't remember really, I was too angry at the fact that it was a absolute piece of garbage. Trust me when I say this, save your money. But if you are totally in love with these, take a look at IKEA. Almost identical ones there at 1/3 the price.
