I will not be installing my tub this week and I will be throwing this contraption into the dumpster. I paid 175.00 for this thinking I was upgrading my install but the tech at American Standard said it was not really designed for my American Standard tub and that it will take some serious surgery to make it work. After several attempts at redesigning it to actually function I realized the fatal flaw is in its design and not just that it is very hard to install but it is overly complicated with multiple points of failure that will leave me without a functional drain in my multi thousand dollar bathroom renovation. A tub drain should be a simple and functional device that simply allows the user to fill and drain a tub and American Standard failed to grasp that concept and created an overpriced, designed to fail, way to turn a functional tub into a disappointment. Now I get the privilege of spending another pile of cash for a functional drain doubling my cost. Avoid this drain kit!!!!
