Reliable, long life, durable.
Excellent drive! This is used in an older Synology NAS, as a server and backups for multiple Apple and Windows PC’s and Laptops. Fast, reliable, and good value for the buck.

Big cheat with no or just a few months guarrantee.
After receiving 4 of these disks we discovered a mega cheat with Ironwolf Pro HDDs - Nearly every seller serlls grey market disks with no or only a few months warranty left!!!!!!!! We returned them ll and went with WD RedPro HHDs for NAS, 2 years warranty for only $15 more per HDD of same size.

Stay away from Seagate!
I have ordered 2 Seagate Iron Wolf Pro's on 2 different occasions and both have come in and were broken upon arrival. I would HIGHLY STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND!!!!! They aren't good and I wish I had chosen another brand in the first place. Ordering this HDD was a waste of time and I'll never order this for my home server ever again.

Seagate will not honor the full warranty on the Ironwolf Pro drives I purchased.
While these are listed as new and having a five year warranty with data recovery, Seagate will not honor the full warranty period even when registering the drives with them. The drives are read as healthy by my NAS and seem to work so far, but on Seagate's site they show less than two years of remaining warranty coverage, and strangely that they are Exos X18 drives. I contacted Seagate and they were going to correct this and extend the warranty to 5 years, but upon reviewing my proof of purchase, stated the following: "Upon further investigation on the drives and the reseller that you purchased this drives from there is an issue for which we are not able to update the information. Upon checking, the reseller is not authorized and for that reason the warranty information cannot be updated." Be careful who you purchase drives from these days, and look closely at the listings; they are not being moderated by many resellers properly, and people are getting used, referbed, or old stock drives. Seagate could not guarantee the drives I have are not used, or if they are just old and never used before. If you value your data, buy direct from the source.

Bought New, got used and they didn't even last 4 days.
Said NEW when I bought them. I got the drives from china and they were resealed and in foam blocks. Powering them on was a VERY loud and rough experience. When the needle moves on these drives, you can hear it from across the house with doors closed. I read the drive failure is very high with these drives but I didn't think they were this bad!!! I just lost way too much data and I'll never buy seagate again after this.
