Deco 79 Brass Lock And Key, 1" x 3" x 2", Dark Gray

This product is terrible. Cheaply made, not worth the money, and definitely nothing like the picture.I was expecting brass and it is a cheap aluminum painted black. Not only that the paint was chipping off before it was out of the package.The whole lock and keys look fake and not worthy of being put on a decorative chest or Pirates treasure.I am severely disappointed.

To use up old wood and scraps of wood, I made 3 or 4 boxes/chests of different sizes. I bought some black hinges, hasps and handles and to complete the look, I wanted to use old/antique looking locks. I checked out 100's of locks on Amazon and picked this 1. The item/part number matched but the locks that I received look nothing like the description and picture that I saw. The description said metal brass lock and instead they were solid black. The picture showed something moveable in front of the keyhole whereas the locks that I received had nothing like that on them. Not impressed. If I had wanted solid, plain looking locks, I would have ordered them. I will be returning 2 of these locks and since I don't have a printer, the return will be more complicated and time consuming. Again, not impressed.

The only thing that matches with the ad is it's shape. I wanted the vintage, tarnished, aged look and that is why I purchased it. It was NOTHING like the pictures in this ad.

The product I received was painted a solid dark brown, and didn't look much like the photo. Keys are smaller and the whole lock is a different shape/finish. It functions and seems to be of decent quality though, if you’re using it for decorative purposes.
