Replaced broken cable. Don’t run cable through existing tie downs on lawnmower handles, let cable hang loose. Existing tie down prevented cable from properly moving link at engine.

Worked & fit right .suggest checking on Google for model if mower model first.

A little short, but works

This cable installs easily, and is the recommended replacement part for this mower, however, it does not fit exactly, getting bound up at the throttle. The first one broke. This is the second one. It is still holding, but is straining to stay in one piece.

Cable lasted three to four mowings when the top fitting broke from the cable making the pull bar useless. My lawn takes about 10 minutes to mow, so 40 minutes of use and the fitting breaks. No need for a picture, there are already several showing the same thing happened to me. I've had my Craftsman for about ten years and the original cable lasted until May of 2023. It is a shame that this vendor makes money off of cheap materials.
