Ok, I've only used the "bright red" leash twice, but i'm extremely happy with my purchase. The Red color is vibrant and visible from two blocks away. I walk my dog every night and my old lite leash died. All I can say is the leash charges quickly, and works as advertised. If you are looking for a bright, well made dog leash - look no further. Oh, I forgot to mention, whats kind of cool ps the leash lights up in two sections. I light the upper half with a constant color and the bottom 3' flashing red. It gets your attention.I've used this leash for 8 months, I love it. But with all products, especially electronics, 1/2 of the lED section on one end quit working. I contacted the seller, included a description of my issue and a photo, and one week later I have a "new" replacement LED leash at my front door. I would give the leash another 5 stars and the seller 10 stars - good job!

It’s dark when I walk my collie in the morning and night, he is very visible and it makes our walk so much safer. I bought the color last year & loved it, added the leash this month. The charge lasts a long time and they are very bright- highly recommend!!

UPDATE: After speaking with Illumiseen, they noted a possible issue with my leash and replaced the defective once. They were incredibly responsive and helpful.From a safety stand point, the leash is fantastic! Multiple people have commented on how bright the leash is and how visible it is during morning and evening walks. When I use the leash in the morning, cars stop 10 yards before a crosswalk so that I know they have seen us. Overall, the leash provides great visibility and safety. Thank you for the great customer service and help!Original: When the LEDs work, the leash is great. A bit pricey but you're definitely visible. Our issue is that the 6ft leash has 2 separate LEDs and 1 of the 2 appears to have a bad battery pack or loose wire. On a walk the LED will be on and working, then all of a sudden it's off, a few more steps it's back on, then off, and so on. Disappointed that after 1.5mo of use (0-2 times per day) and $25 spent only 1 LED functions properly.

It is extremely hard to find a 6-foot light-up leash. Most are 4 foot for some reason. This is my 3rd Illumiseen leash I've purchased because of that, and because I prefer the EL wire lighting design over the multiple LEDs that dot other leashes. The first two Illumiseen leashes I got stopped lighting up or had wiring issues with the LEDs after some time. The first one lasted quite a while (maybe 9 months?) before having issues with the wiring of the LEDs starting to short out. It was the green leash, and was by far the brightest.The second one was the yellow leash, and it was garbage. It was not bright, and the wiring shorted out on one section about 2 months after I bought it. By 6 months, it wouldn't charge or turn on.Now, hopefully this red one will last longer than both...but we will see. I am actually surprised at the brightness of the Red LEDs. I figured it would be dimmer than the Yellow, but it's not! I'm happy with the brightness, plus it looks like my dog belongs in TRON!I will say, the material it is made out of is very strong and sturdy. I have no worries the leash will break or unravel, or the clip will come undone. It is quite firm, though, so don't expect to be able to curl it up to store it. With the EL wire running down each section, that isn't advisable anyway. I just wish the wiring of the LEDs matched the quality of the leash itself.One thing to note: there are two sections that have to be charged, not one. It comes with a specific charging cord, since the connection is not a normal/universal connection to the LED. I purchased a charger that had 2 USB outputs in order to charge both sections at the same time. I'm glad I did, because it saves time.The charge lasts quite a long time, so that is good. I walk my dog every night, and I typically only have to charge this about every 9- 10 days.

AWESOME!!! We walk our dogs at night and have tried different ways to make us more visible to traffic...but everything ended up being too bright or the flashing made it too difficult too even walk straight without tripping over our dogs! We purchased two of these in blue...they're not overly blinding bright, but just the perfect amount of light. A Fed Ex truck actually stopped to tell us how cool the leashes were and that he appreciated us making ourselves visible on the road. Our regular leashes are 6' and we tend to wrap them around our hands a few times, so I purchased these in the 4' length bc of the wiring, you really don't want to bend and wrap them around your hand (at least that is my thinking). The handle is nice and has a padded, non-slip rubber grip (which great when wearing gloves). Also, I've read some reviews saying that a con is that it isn't lit on both sides, but I actually find that desirable. It's nice to kind of flip it over to light the ground when you don't need it to be really bright. I'm still not a fan of the flashing modes, it makes me feel like I'm in front of a strobe light on a dance floor, but luckily, you have the option to not have it flash. These leashes are the best!!! And you definitely want the rechargeable, stay away from the battery operated ones. Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence!

Leash worked well till it needed to be charged. Nice and bright LEDs and the color really stands out at night.Unfortunately after the battery died the first time, it failed to charge and never lit again. Taking it apart shows a small chip blew causing the issue.
