Writes so smoothly and the control is great. Easy to shade, make light thin lines or dark thin / thick lines. Barrel diameter is just a bit small for what I like for comfort and I wish that it had a textured surface for gripping, but I will probably get used to the completely smooth barrel. But those things are minor and come down to my personal preference. The pen, on it's own is pretty dang nice and the quality is solid, especially when you consider the set cost $6 when I purchased.

Solid, hefty, replaceable tips mean it can last. Is it an “ink less pen”? No. Well, yes actually. Because it’s not a pen. But it’s a pretty neat pencil. Think #2 Ticonderoga in terms of line darkness, and John Wick has one be nice.

The overall build is pretty nice but the metal tip is not durable at all. This tip broke on the first day after me just writing.

Love these, mine work just as good as real pencils.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Yes, you can see that it wrote something, but it was very faint. Also, it roles off the table since it's cylindrical.

I'll be honest, I bought these for the novelty, but they work really well!

First of all, don't expect this to write like a pen. It looks like pencil on paper, which is what I was wanting! The pencils are heavy and feel nice in hand, they're packaged in a little bag thing that is sturdy enough to store them in, and they just work as advertised. I think I prefer a regular pen or pencil over these, but they're still pretty neat, and it's nice that lead doesn't get on your hand when you're writing with them.

The look and feel is pretty good, the tip appears to work well and last a while so far. Though you cannot erase it like a pencil, you'll wear a hole in the paper trying to do so. It writes like a pencil and if you're a heavy handed writer like I am, this works great. The writing comes out as dark as a pencil. The only thing is that it is perfectly rounded and it will roll away and fall off the desk. If they could put a little peg on it to keep it from rolling away, it would be perfect. Instead I use a piece of tape with a small tail on it.
