I ordered this replacement battery for my HP spectre 360 and it was an exact match. I had opened my case to check the exact model of the battery before ordering and I'm glad I did. I still wasn't sure what to expect but this is a very precisely made replacement.The kit includes 4 tiny screwdrivers (Phillips, flat and two sizes of hex) that are very lightly magnetic which made it so much easier to open my case. The tiny hex screws are a challenge without a proper hex tool like this kit provides. There's also a plastic guitar pick looking tool that makes it easy to slide down the seams and pop the clasps without breaking anything. I've added those to my toolkit!The battery form factor is identical and I was able to quickly exchange the old for the new. Upon restart my laptop had to reset it's bios once (which it did on its own) and then upon rebooting it is working normally.The new battery shows about a 70% charge which was nice to see it wasn't completely dead initially.I'm really happy with this new battery and for the price I wish I had replaced it sooner!It's very easy and totally DIY friendly, don't be intimidated just be gentle with everything and it will work for you too!

The battery came with a set of screwdrivers and a case tool. Changing the battery was simple. It is useful to download the service manual for HP laptops directly from their support website. That helps locate all the screws and wires to be changed easily.The battery itself needs to be calibrated and requires several charge/discharge cycles according to the included manual. The BIOS hardware diagnostics detected and tested the battery fine. The Windows operating system reports the charge level correctly. The only issue is that HP diagnostics in Windows do not see the battery, however, it is known that HP software complains if it detects non-hp branded parts, but still works fine. For example, I get an annoying pop-up window every time I connect a non-HP charger.An important thing to take care of any battery is to avoid overheating. I recommend placing the laptop on a cooling pad or stand that allows for better airflow. Also do not leave it connected to a charger or docking station, if it is already fully charged and not in use. I used to leave the laptop connected for days to a docking station (HP branded) and that eventually killed two original HP batteries.The Vanpir battery charge lasts the same as the original. I had some questions during the installation and the vendor responded fast to help me solve the issues.

The original battery was low so I replaced it with this one. Installed it at 60% charge and instructions said to run it down to 10% and then recharge it. By the time it dropped to 18% the laptop turned off and it would neither except a charge nor turn on again. Put the old battery in and it is working again.Also, the instructions inconsistent and unclear. See attachments.

I was skeptical when reading other reviews, but I am glad I made the choice to purchase it. My spectre was slowing down and the hp assistant tells me that I should consider a replacement of my battery. My computer couldn’t run for one hour before shutting down unplugged.After replacing the battery, my laptop run fast, the battery lasted for a long time unplugged. I use the laptop for like 8 months and it’s still going strong.This kit give you all the tools you need for replacing the battery, it functions and fit perfectly and great value for your money.

The first sign that I needed a new battery was the bottom of the laptop showed separation from the top due to swelling of the original battery after 3 years of service. The original HP battery (part no. 929072-855) is no longer available. It has been two weeks since the Vanpir CPO3XL replacement battery was installed in my HP Spectre 13” laptop model 13-AE012DX. So far, it is performing as well as the original. Installation was not difficult, but you should watch a “how to” video first. You must remove several tiny screws from under the rubber bumper on the bottom of the laptop to remove the bottom. A few days after the installation, I tried to download photos from my camera using a card reader. It would not work. I tried a different card reader. Neither would work. Photos could be downloaded using a USB cable from camera to computer. Perhaps you will not experience this, but you should be aware that it is possible that disconnecting the battery caused the CMOS to be reset which rolled back the BIOS and system drivers to their original state requiring reinstallation of updates. After this was done, the card readers worked properly. Aside from this caveat, I am pleased with the battery and give it five stars.

Bought the battery last January, it has no issues over the course of a year other than just finding out that it can only take 60-70% charge starting from last week. Not sure whether this is by design, but frankly speaking I’m quite disappointed…

The battery arrived in a timely manner and was easy to install. The only problem I have is minor: the instructions told me to let the battery run down to 3% before recharging it. I kept wondering if they were just messing with me. Using your laptop while watching the battery icon becomes rather unproductive.

I’m far from a tech mechanic, yet I replaced the battery in my 2018 HP Spectre! Vanpir’s replacement battery looks identical to the original HP battery, it came with all the necessary tools, and once installed my laptop powered right up. The battery was 74% charged and came with thorough instructions on how to “break it in” as far as how to charge it properly the first few times of use in order to get the best battery life out of it.
