[UPGRADED] Vantrue R2

Initially I had issues with this camera stopping recording randomly and causing gaps in my files it recorded. I thought the camera was defective, but after some research and consulting with VanTrue Support I determined it to be the speed of my SD card.You should get an SD card that is Class 10, but also specifically one that is rated for UHS U1 or U3. Samsung EVO or EVO plus is a good choice, but do not use SanDisk Ultra, it is not fast enough. SanDisk extreme series worked ok for me. Again, look for a U symbol with a 1 or 3 in the U.Hope this saves someone some frustration. Otherwise I like the camera fine, Good quality, pretty easy to use.

It worked fine for about 3 months before it began to not record randomly. I find myself having to plug and unplug from the power to make it record again..Update*Costumer service was able to contact me and help me out.

Arrived on time. Excellent (new) condition. No damage to package. Item was exactly as described. Easy to install, instructions were simple to understand. The picture quality is perfect and easy to see on my laptop. Resolution and wide field-of-view provide a really clear recording of my surroundings when I am driving. I spent a lot of time reviewing articles and doing research on various dash cams before I purchased the VanTrue, and I am extremely pleased with my choice. I also got the GPS suction mount. Traffic in our area is pretty bad ... drivers are careless and oblivious. I try to be alert and drive defensively, so I feel better knowing that I have another "witness" in case of an accident! This seems to be a great dashcam, and I am hoping I never need to use it!

Unfortunately the product lasted less than one year and now the screen flickers and won't focus on anything. It was great while it lasted, but I wouldn't spend this money again on something that won't make it a year.

Really nice. Ordered a couple more as gifts and the recipients love them too. Video doesn't lie. Will probably order another for the rear. Cams will probably be standard equipment in vehicles at some point.

Bought two of these since it was on sale. within 3 months both failed.Also the UI is unintutive and clumsy.

Wonderful product and will be ordering a second unit.

works great and gives a clear recording. i recommend putting it in your car in case you get into an accident so you can show whose fault it was.
