Is this for a pair, 2 brackets or just one? it says ”sawhorse bracket.”

This is two (2) brackets to make one (1) complete sawhorse. I bought two sets to make two complete sawhorses. My original sawhorse made with these is 25 years old.

Do the legs need to be angled cut ?

The legs do not necessarily need to be single cut. They will fit into the brackets without being cut but of course the bottom of the legs will before secure if they are cut at an angle.

do these come in different sizes?

Not that I know of. It uses 2x4 for legs and can use 2x4 or 2x6 for the top.

What is the angle of the optional bevel cut for the legs?

There is enough surface area to hold the 2x4 without having to worry about the angle of optional bevel cut. I do use a 2x6 for the top plate. Also, after you put a set together, recheck the tightness after you put some weight on them. I have had several hundred pounds on my set without any problem. If you must use the angle for snug fit, take a scrap 2x4 and cut until you find the angle.
