Hard to find item in the stores and unfortunately need with a heated water hose. Buy extras because you will invaribly forget you have it on the faucet at the campground and driveway without. Price is fine, quality is ok - it made it through hard freezes without cracking. I suppose you could use for other types of hoses as well. Easy to install.

I performed a repair to a garden hose that resulted in a female end, so in order to connect it to a shutoff valve, it required this male-male coupler. The brass is clean with no defects or burrs. It included both teflon tape and rubber gaskets to prevent leaking. This is a very low profile fixture, so it will not add an unnecessary length to the setup. The coupler connected easily, and with just hand-tightening it didn't leak. Having a pair of these in package allows me a backup in case I need to perform a similar hose repair elsewhere on the farm.

These helped me solve a logistical problem in my back yard. Went with these because of the thread length and I know it eliminated my perceived problems. Great machining job and who doesn't like the looks of brass?

Heavy duty and connection fits well.

Heavy brass. Well machined threads. Fits my female hose end perfectly. Mating surface to hose washer is flat so it seals well without damaging washer. No need for included Teflon tape if you are using it with a hose. Two fittings for the price I’d expect to pay for one of this quality.
