Read this to know what you're getting
This is relatively light duty magnetic tape. Light duty meaning: It will hold power driver bits but not anything heavier. If that is what you want, keep reading. This tape has medium duty glue (speaking as an expert). To use this tape you must a) 'book' it, b) apply in cool & dry conditions, c) apply only to non-porous material (metal, glass, most plastic). (Booking means: unroll it flat and place a book on either end for 24 hours to remove all tendency to curl.) If you don't book it, if there's too much heat or humidity, if the surface is porous or dirty, the tape will curl off. If you can meet all the above criteria, this tape will work well. Otherwise, you're going to be fighting it and annoyed it isn't stronger and with heavier duty glue. Full disclosure: its useless for the purposes I tried to use it for. BUT, I emailed the company and they absolutely bent over backwards trying to help me out with multiple samples of additional products that might work better. Customer service is why this product gets 5 stars. Otherwise quality and narrow use range would warrant 3 stars.

Used to create wooden ABC magnets - works well so far
Purchased the magnetic tape to use in creating wooden ABC magnets for my child. So far, appears to be holding well. The wooden letters I used are 2.75" tall x 1.75"-2.5" wide x 0.25" thick. I did cover much, if not all, the back of the letters, just because I expect these to be heavily used by a toddler (see attached pictures). I also followed the instructions provided by seller (let the magnet straighten, clean any areas tape side will adhere to with alchohol, and let cure for 12 hours before use), which I think is critical to making sure the tape performs well. Will see how well these hold up to use overtime. I do wish these came in sheets, so that I could had traced my letters and have the magnetic backing match exactly for a nicer look. I have more letter sets to do so am trying another product that comes in 8.5 inches by 11 inches sheets to see if I could achieve a better look. However, because this tape did work so nicely and was easy to cut with regular scissors, I just ordered another roll in the event the magnetic sheets do not work well.

Do not buy... this cannot hold up a 12 x 16 magnetic lightweight magnet callendar.
Ok I bought a magnetic callendar for my desk at work. 8 thought the section of my desk was magnetic because it felt like metal but turned out it wasn't. I wanted to put the callendar up still so i bought this tape to hang it. 5)8: callendar cannot be much heavier than a couple sheets of paper..... the Magnet tape was so weak it wouldn't even lay flat on it when it was just flat on my desk! Needless to say when I went to put it up it didn't even grab at all to the magnets. Really worthless I'm not sure under what circumstances this tape would be healthful because I loaded the callendar on all edges and corners and in the middle with the stuff and still nothing. Terrible product and honestly sincere FALSE ADVERTISING!

Over all a good product. The adhesive is week but can be reinforced with gorilla glue.
The adhesive is not very strong. I put these under my cabinets to hold non-magnetic spice tins (8 oz and 2 oz). Day 1 - I did as the directions said, left the roll out to flatten over-night. Day 2 - I hung the strips (about 2 ft each) under my cabinets and left them there over-night. Day 3 - I put the spice tins on the magnetic strips and they worked very well. I had a problem with the 8 oz tin holding salt because it was so heavy but I did find the right spot and it held on. Over night I heard the tins falling. When I came down in the morning I saw the strip had come off of the cabinet. I decided to gorilla glue the strips back on (I know, they aren't ever coming off) and it has now been almost a week and everything is hanging on. I also put some smaller strips on the inside of my cabinet doors to hold the 2 oz tins. Those have held fine with no issues at all. The only suggestion I can make is to use two strips of the magnetic tape if you are going to hang heavier things.

magnet good, adhesive not so much
wish the strength of the adhesive was better. the only way I can get even small items to stay "stuck" to it is to let it sit overnight under heavy weight . However, end result is okay. The magnetic properties seem to be as expected. Just use it to hold kid's arts and craft projects to fridge.

Great product that I adapted just a bit
The paintings I needed to hang with magnetic tape is on stretched canvas. The part of the painting that stretches over the frame has paint on it. Because of the paint the adhesive on the back did not stick well. The solution I came up with was using short metal screws which screwed easily through the magnetic tape and into the frame. This worked well. I had a couple of solid wooden plaques where the adhesive seemed to be sticking. I decided to reinforce the adhesive with a couple of screws. I rated the product a 5 star because it worked well and the magnetic strip stuck tightly to my steel walls in my office. I did adapt the product but that is due to the situation not the tape itself.
