The Grand Central Market Cookbook: Cuisine and Culture from Downtown Los Angeles

As a fan of the Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles, I was thrilled to find this book, that contains many stories about the Grand Central Market and its history. It is literally quite colorful with many relevant recipes, some of which I have tried quite successfully.

The GCM opened in 1917 as told by Ktla news last week . I was intrigued that they were selling The Grand Central Market Cookbook. Every food vendor has contributed recipes for this unique book. There is informative historical background and inticing food photos found throughout the book. I am looking forward to cooking the various recipes of different cultures. It is an excellent book to give your friends and relatives. Thank you GCM vendors for sharing your recipes for those of us that enjoy cooking!!!!

This is such a great book and the cover is so bright and beautiful you can’t help but go to it when you see it. The cover has a beautiful texture when you touch it and of course the inside has a lot of great suggestions. I keep this in the living room just because it’s so decorative. I've really enjoyed reading this cookbook. The stories and the recipes are all inspiring! I wish every town had a place like this to discover new foods and new chefs. Take it for what it is. a book about a dream and a community. Then check out all the great recipes. you won't be disappointed.
