Love these boards so much I bought a second one. They seem well made and sturdy, with small rubber studs on the base so they stay put where they're placed and corners slightly curved so no sharp edges. I use them more as worktop protectors rather than chopping boards, great for placing hot pots on and just useful as a work surface when cooking. The gold marbling is a matt gold colour so don't expect bling but this doesn't stop them looking classy. They look particularly striking on a wood countertop as the marbling colour are not dissimilar to golden hues of wood so gives the illusion that you can see the counter through the board. Also kudos for plastic free packaging. True they aren't the cheapest but they do look very expensive and well made so you get your money's worth. I'm very fussy and am always looking for items that are both beautiful and functional. These tick all the right boxes and I'm really happy with them. Highly recommended A++++

My first impressions are very positive. It looks classy and has taken its first hot pan without trouble. I note that it comes with a note that it should not be put in a dishwasher, so I slightly worry that it might not be as tough as I would hope. All the same, I haven't seen any reviews saying that one has shattered. For the next couple of weeks I will quite deliberately see how it handles hot pans. If I don't correct this review, you can assume it has come through the ordeal in one piece.
