I used this on some stripped bolts a friend couldn’t get off his car. He gifted the car to me, making it my problem. I bought this kit specifically for that scenario and he tried everything from welding, torching, and even other bolt biters but nothing. I got those bolts removed first try with this kit, without an impact wrench, and that alone makes it worth the money. I also love that they’re impacted rated. After some watching some youtube reviews one common talking point is you can actually reuse the stripped bolts again with this kit and I was skeptical at first, even ordered some replacement bolts but after experiencing how grippy these bolt biters are, I returned the new bolts and continue to use the stripped ones with this socket kit as the replacement bolts were +$50 Gearwrench is great quality for price and this is definitely not an exception. I highly suggest every mechanic or DIY enthusiast keep the entire kit somewhere in their tool box as it’ll save you a ton of time and headache, something my close friend should’ve done before going down the rabbit hole of removing stripped bolts.

I’ve been watching mechanic videos on YouTube and saw these awesome extractors made by gripedge tools for snap on sized prices. I went wow those are cool but I’ll never need them especially for that price and I have a trusty craftsman set.1 week later I find myself with a plumbing issue and 4 rusty bolts. Two came out with my craftsman set but the other two the heads rounded off and my set didn’t have a size smaller. This set worked great and I ended up working my way 3 sizes down from where I started. Moral of the story is get the biggest set you can afford. Tools don’t expire and having the inbetween sizes was a huge help. This is a quality tool made by a reputable company worked great on my impact gun. Very similar design to the grip edge tool except the centers are not threaded for an extraction bolt. The best part was overnight shipping from prime I was able to get what I needed quickly and finish the project.

Really good when new, once they’ve been used a few times they loose their edge and round off the teeth inside the socket and become useless
