Lansinoh Breastfeeding Pillow, Piece Of 1

Helpful and versatile breastfeeding pillow
This is quite a nifty little pillow; I’ve been using it while breastfeeding my 4 month old and am impressed. The design is different to the traditional U-shape that goes around the tummy; this is really compact and has a hole through the middle that you slide your arm through. It means you have complete control over the pillow, you just move your arm and the pillow moves with it, which has been great with a wriggly baby as you can reposition really easily during a feed without disturbing them. The pillow itself is much smaller than I expected but perfect for bringing my daughter up for a feed without me having to cross my legs and hunch over. The design is good for shorter feeds for babies from about 3+ months I would say; my arm got sweaty if used longer than about 15 mins. It’s also difficult to wind a baby during feeds with the pillow on your arm and it’s awkward if baby falls asleep during feeding and you have to transfer them to the cot. The pillow itself is machine washable but doesn’t have an outer pillow case or sleeve that you can take off and wash easily. Overall it’s well designed and a helpful little aid for breastfeeding, I’d recommend.I’m a mum of 2 who does lots of research and relies on reviews to choose the best products for my family. Amazing for back ache!
This cushion was a god-send! I had the standard U shaped nursing pillows but found them uncomfortable to use as my baby increased in size (as she grew > 7 lb) - she was a prem baby! I also had back ache from breastfeeding. This pillow took all the awkwardness of breastfeeding in the cradle hold position away. You can also do a rugby hold with this pillow but I prefer the standard cradle hold. So soft, comfortable and easy to use. When winding the baby, you have to take your arm out and then put it back in to continue feeding but I have found my little trick and it works great! (I lift the baby up along with the pillow, sitting them upright, use my leg to support their back whilst I take my pillow hand back down, take the pillow off, burp my little one, and then lower baby and put pillow back on again!)... I can sit in the bed, on the sofa, or on the floor with this. It wont fit well onto an armchair, but I have the armchair sides to help with feeding when i sit in that!Great purchase - would definitely recommend for shoulder/upper back ache whilst feeding.

Too high
I read a review that it was too big but I ignored it, I now understand that it's too puffy so if you have it on your arm you babies head will be well above your nipple, so impossible for baby to feed.

So soft
I ended up not using this to feed my baby as the cushion is too thick to put him in the right angle but it makes a nice cushion.

Disappointed
Unfortunately this pillow did not work for me.Such a fiddly thing to put onto your arm with a hungry baby and then difficult to use whilst feeding.Better to have both arms free for feeding; this pillow restricts one.
