Purchased as a gift for my son who is an avid runner. He appeared pleased with it but has not used it as of yet. He did not have one and since many of the organized races require they wear a reflective vest this was a good purchase.

I purchased this safety vest so my children can ride their bicycles at twilight or walk the dog at night safely. I received a discount in exchange for an honest unbiased review. Any extra protection is a plus in my opinion because cars often drive extremely fast on the street that I live on. This high-visibility safety vest with its LED armband and its carrying pouch is a wonderful set. It fits me and it makes me feel much safer when outside at night. The LED arm band is really nifty. I had never seen one of those before.I will definitely wear this while riding my bicycle even during the day. I did a little bit of research and it turns out there was a Cochrane systematic review on the effectiveness of these kind of vest in the mid-2000s and they found that this increases the distance at which drivers see cyclists in daytime. Of course at night it has the same effect. And you may not know this but New York City actually requires commercial cyclists like bike messengers to wear reflective clothing.I also plan on taking this along with us when we go camping because when we're camping is when I'm most likely to be walking along unlit roads after dark.
