yes, about 0.2 inch hole for lock , Zipper pull is plastic, not very secure even with travel lock.

Q: Will that fit a revolver with a 7 and 1/2-in barrel

The bottom to top measurement of the pistol compartment is 8.2-9" fully stretched out. It fits a government 1911 angle glock 19, sig p320 with room to spare. Probably will not fit that length barreled revolver. But if it's overall length is less than 9 you are good to go. Don't forget Amazon has an amazing return policy if it doesn't fit
