I was very happy with this set when I first bought it. The pieces looked great, felt solid, and for a while I had no complaints. Unfortunately, that changed recently when within just a few days, two plates (one 11-inch and one 7.8-inch) and a bowl all cracked while heating food in the microwave. These dishes are marketed as microwave-safe, yet they literally broke under the exact conditions they were supposed to withstand. What makes this more frustrating is that I’ve owned the set for only three years and used it sparingly—mostly when having people over. These weren’t everyday dishes getting heavy wear and tear. If anything, I would expect them to last longer than average given how lightly they’ve been used. Plates should break if dropped, not when simply reheating food. When I reached out to the seller, I was told the items were discontinued, the one-year warranty had expired, and that there was nothing they could do. No goodwill gesture, no option for single replacements, not even a partial credit. For a brand that positions itself as high-quality, this level of customer service and durability is disappointing. I can no longer recommend this set, brand or seller. While they look nice, the fact that multiple pieces cracked under normal microwave use after such limited use makes me question the overall quality. Combined with the lack of support when something goes wrong, it’s hard to justify investing in this brand if you expect your dishes to actually last.

I bought these 14 years ago when my son was little. He would fill a bowl with cereal not realizing how much the bowl held (and not knowing how expensive cereal is!). He would waste most of what he poured into the bowl and it couldn't be saved because of the milk on it. I got these and they were like portion control magic. They last forever but through attrition, we were down to two. My family loves ice cream, and my husband watches his portions, and these are perfect! So I bought more.

Love the hot colors they made our self-quarantine bearable over the last year and a half. Not 5 stars because I have had this type of china/porcelain from another company for over 40 yrs. without one crack or chip. When I decided to replace them I did my homework. Sweese was supposed to be top quality. I am so disappointed. After about a year of use some of the bowls have a spider web of cracks in them. I purchased an entire place setting for 12, in addition I purchased 4 sizes of bowls, plus 2 different small plate shapes, all in the bright colors. The first bowl broke in my hand as I was pulling it out of the dishwasher, next my white pasta bowl chipped (I have no idea when or why), then I noticed all the yellow bowls have a spider web of cracks in the coating. Sweese is making it right so I have no complaints at this time. If a year from now I have the same issue I will update my review.
