Electromagnetic Theory for Complete Idiots (Electrical Engineering for Complete Idiots)

Good but needs copy editing
Despite the title this book is not for beginners. One would assume no prerequisite knowledge is required but the preface states that familiarity with calculus and physics is a must.Besides the misleading title, the text is littered with errors in grammar. It's almost as if they wrote this on their phone and didn't bother to double-check the autocorrect errors.Looking past all this the content is actually quite good. The illustrations and examples are extremely helpful. One thing that would be nice would be to add some exercise problems that the reader can work through. Maybe they could add it to their website if it was actually up.4/5 stars since overall it's an excellent resource. I'd be 5/5 if they fixed the broken sentences and grammar and add additional exercises.

The title is sarcastic
Although it has an valuable information besides the derivation of equations, the title is misleading because it necessary to have calculus knowledge to understand the content.

If your Textbook sucks, read this.
I have just finished my first semester in Electrical Engineering. The textbook we had for E&M was 'Engineering Electromagnetics by William H. Hayt, Jr, John A. Buck.'If you're forced to study from a textbook which barely has any figures, you have to read this book. The way vector analysis and calculus introduced in this book is just amazing. The college textbook is expecting me to imagine the line, surface and volume integrals in my head just by reading some paragraphs like What? Let alone Divergence and Curl and a lot more. You really have to see this stuff to understand what are you really doing. I love this book because it covers what do I really need understand for this course, Always straight to the point.I'm planning on starting Youtube channel to explain E&M and definitely I will be using this book as a reference because I really love it.Thank you for creating this.

Super buy and read
This book is worth a lot more than you will pay and you will quickly leaarn more than you expect to grasp about several subjects including math.Authors and editors an iillustrtors deserve a collective Pulitzer Prize.

Great re-fresher
This is a well-structured and handy text on electromagnetic theory; it gives a lot of structure and context to a lot of that electromagnetic theory learned back in standard undergraduate electromagnetics class. It is a great re-fresher, but I believe it can also work as an introductory text and companion for an electromagnetics course.Overall, I'm quite pleased with the purchase.

A catchy title isn’t enough. VERY math heavy.
To the author who I hope sees this and doesn’t take it the wrong way, this book is a total letdown. You can’t start a book, claiming that you don’t like the “over reliance of mathematics” and then spend the entire book reviewing vector calculus and relying on that to explain every topic. We need metaphor/ picture/ “things to think about”. It has to be more than a catchy title and cool cover. I hope you take this to heart and get a little more creative and innovative.

Good
The book is simple, written in Simple english and has very neat diagrams which will help kids learn electromagnetics with interest.

This was a very useful overview of the subject.
The section on vector calculus was helpful before starting the electromagnetic theory.

Do not west money for that book
It should be an understandable book rather completely incomprehensible. You even have to have very good mathematical knowledge as many mathematical formulas are used.ultimately incomprehensible to ordinary peopleThose who have matematic and physical knowledge do not need this book. The book is not worth anyone
