I bought this monitor to do glucose checks at home throughout my pregnancy. There were some reviews that mentioned being inaccurate when taking multiple readings in a row, this was not my experience at all. I did take several in a row just to make sure this wasn't happening. My best guess is that people aren't always doing the correct procedure prior to taking their blood sugar. There are a lot of things that can effect an accurate reading.1. Wash hands well and dry them.2. Get your supplies ready.3. Clean your finger with an alcohol pad for 30 seconds and let dry by air. Do not blow on the area or wipe with guaze to get it to dry faster.4. Use the lancet to puncture the skin where you just cleaned.5. With a Clean guaze pad wipe away the first drop of blood.6. Fill the test strip with the second drop of blood. While you're waiting for the reading you can add pressure to stop the bleeding and use a bandaid if necessary.Using the first drop of blood or not allowing the alcohol to dry can cause descrepencies in the readings which is an issue if you're using this machine as someone who actually needs it.I was able to use the second or third setting on the lancet depending on which finger I poked. I did not have to purchase additional supplies so I cannot speak to that process. Glucometer is simple to set up and easy to use.

So far the product is working fine for me and everything is easy to use. For the money when you advertise solution as part of the package you would expect just that. Here is a picture of everything In the box as is and it seems to be no room for solution in the box. In the description and the picture they show they might want to remove the solution bottle as it will not show in your order, or at least not mine for the money I spent.Still worth the purchase.

The unit itself works fine, easy to use once you use it several times. Only issue i have is you need to replace and charge a new lancer after each test. My old system had 5 lancers in the tool and all you needed to do was rotate the unit to a new lancer. After using the 5 you put in a new cartridge.

My first time using one of these, but recommended by my doctor as the one she uses. With that in mind, read on:This morning I grabbed it out of the box, dropped the extra package of strips and lancets back in the box, and took it to work.Spent my lunch break trying to figure it out, followed the instructions to the letter, nothing. I've tried 4 times now, tried the control solution twice, no readings (and yes, i do in fact have blood lol)WELL i got frustrated and tried looking up another manual online and what i found didn't help either. I was prepared to ship it all back when I looked in the box again and FOUND THE EVER-LOVING MANUALS, nicely folded up and waiting for me to rescue them from under the strips and lancets. There are two manuals inside the case and two inside the box itself.Figured it out pretty quickly after that, but boy was it a pain to get there. This lil bit is simple, quick, and pretty much painless. Glad i got it.

Bought this for my husband who while is NOT diabetic, frequently gets low blood sugar when he hasn't eaten regularly. Since this isn't a life or death type of situation like diabetes I figured a lower end machine would do the job to try and track things. My dad had diabetes so I'm very well versed in how these machines work and how to use them properly. Out of 50 test strips only 3 worked correctly. The machine gave a "not enough blood/defective machine/defective strip" error for all other 47 strips (3 people testing in the last week we've had the machine). The strips have a 2023 expiration. Since the machine did not come with the "optional" diagnosis strip we couldn't determine if it was the machine or the strips so rather than continuing to use ourselves as a pin cushion we didn't bother testing the other 50 strips that came with it and just tossed the entire setup in the garbage. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money on a good name brand machine.
