Lasko 16" 1500-Watt Designer Series Oscillating Ceramic Tower Space Heater

These are fantastic. Surprisingly attractive and highly functional. Perfect heat output, very low noise, easy to use, and control. I bought my first in 2017 and now have three — one for each level of my home. Perfect complement to heat pump. And they are so nice that friends and family requested one as gift. My sister just told me again how perfect hers is for a damp cold December morning.

The small and mighty heater is exactly what you would expect. It is efficient, effective and attractive and comes with a remote control. I sit near an outside door while working from home and sometimes use this heater to offset the winter air.

I have purchased this heater as a business owner twice in 20 years, and as a parent I have purchased two for my grandchildren to help keep their room at a warm temperature on cold winter nights so mom and dad don't have to heat the whole house to keep the children's room warm. They are wonderful, My massage clients love the warmth and quiet air flow to keep them comfortable during their appointments. Great value, durable, decorative. Well worth the investment.

I have tried several small heaters in the past, and had been disappointed. I ordered this based on reviews, and I am not disappointed. I needed something to balance the temperature in my apartment. I live in an older home and the insulation is lacking severely. The register placements and boxy setup make it hard for the temperature to be even throughout. With the colder temps, I really needed something to make the other half of my apartment comfortable. This has done the job. I have it set to 65 and it helps the older furnace by balancing the temperature and not run as often. I am no longer walking into cold rooms. I love that it looks decorative. Which means, come warmer temps, I will not absolutely have to put it away. It heats my living room quickly. It starts and stops as it should. And the sides stay cool as they should. I cats were playing and knocked it over one day, it immediately shut off. Which is very important to me. One thing to note, do not plug this in to a surge protector or surge protected outlet. It will trip your breaker. I was not paying attention one day and forgot. Plugged it into a tower box and five minutes later, it tripped the breaker. I would recommend this product to anyone who, like me, is limited on space (especially storage space) and wants something which not only looks good, but is functional.

I purchased this space heater for our bedroom. Our room has a large window and only one vent. It stays a lot colder than the rest of our home. I picked out this heater for two main reasons. The remote and the oscillation. There are multiple buttons on the top. To power the unit on you press the center button, this is also the button you use to set to High or Low. High is the default. There are 3 other buttons. One for oscillation, one for a timer, and one to set the temperature. To get to the time or temp setting you want you push the button multiple times till you get to your desired setting. The remote has the same buttons. The oscillation is great. Helps to heat the room evenly. I have never used the timed setting so I can't say much about that however, I have used the temperature setting and i'm not quite sure that works accurately. This heater can heat our medium sized room in around 20 minutes. If left on the high setting it can actually get the room hot! Now, I had the impression that this was cool touch when I purchased it. I am not sure where I got that from but it is NOT cool touch. The front grate gets VERY hot. The plastic exterior does stay cool. This heater looks great. It's stylish and it isn't an eyesore like some other heaters. The remote can be kind of annoying to use. You have to be sure to point it directly at the heater, press the button hard, and do not press them too quickly. It takes a few seconds before you can get it to read the remote after pressing a button. It is quiet. I am a VERY light sleeper and I have a hard time sleeping with anything louder than a ceiling fan in my room. I have no problems with this heater if I am napping during the day. I don't personally leave it on overnight while sleeping as I am too nervous to do that. Sometimes I forget it is on other than the room actually feeling warm! I can only compare it to the sound that a PC computer's fan makes. I highly recommend this heater for many reasons. It is stylish, it has a remote, it oscillates, it's quiet, and it WORKS!

I’ve owned this beautiful little heater for 5 years now and it’s been well worth the cost. I depend upon it before I break down and turn my furnace on to take the chill off any room I’m spending time in and haven’t noticed any additional costs in my electric bill. I also make use of this heater throughout the entire time I depend upon my furnace, because I’ve found that I can lower my furnace temperature and still be comfortable with having this little heater keep me warm in the room(s) that I occupy. This heater has literally been on from Fall until Spring the past 5 years in my home. I love that it’s lightweight and portable, it’s easy to move it from room to room wherever I need it. It’s especially handy to warm up the bathroom for taking a shower. I don’t know of anyone who enjoys stepping out of a shower into a cold room. 🥶 I’ve had several people comment on how cute they think it is, it’s definitely different from your average heater, how often can you call a heater cute? ☺️ All the features are conveniently placed on the top of the heater which I love because it’s so easy to see what I’ve set. I’m able to set the temperature I want the heater to produce in heat, as well as a timer for the length of time I want it to run. I love that it’s capable of oscillating to distribute the heat throughout a particular area. I don’t have to worry about it getting tipped over because if that happens, it has a shut off feature for safety. I’m extremely happy with this purchase since I’ve gotten 5 years of uncomplicated service from it, it’s definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this cute heater from Lasco, I wouldn’t be concerned because they’re a reputable manufacturer when it comes to the heaters they make. I wouldn’t hesitate to buying a heating product from them, they seem to know what it takes to produce a long lasting product. I fully expect to get many more years from this heater.

I purchased my Lasko 6435 heater about 2 years ago to provide heat to a 12' x 14' room that I spend quite a bit of time in. It also allows me to lower the overall heat of the house but keep this room at 70 degrees in the winter time which is about 6 months long where I live. My objectives when I purchased it were to provide a cost effective method for heating this room which would be pretty much balanced out by lowering my house thermostat by a few degrees. Thus effectively getting comfortable living just for the minimal cost of the heater and no to very little extra cost in my energy bill. Since I am on a pretty fixed budget I thought this would be a good investment to make. Results : I use the Lasko on High with a setting of 70 degrees and it is on 24 x 7 in the winter. For temperature control with 70 degrees set I find the temp runs between 72 - 68 degrees. Thus it turns on at 68 and runs until the room is 72 degrees. It takes between 10 - 15 minutes for each cycle. Thus on a daily basis it runs about 4 - 6 hours a day. It is rated at 1500 watts for high but I believe based on what I did in research that that high rating is closer to 1300 watts. Energy Analysis - Given that it runs 4 - 6 hours per day at 1300 watts my costs per month are approximately as follows. 6 - 9kw's per day x 30 days or 180 - 270 kw's per month. My energy cost is about .11 per kw + .02 for distribution or .13 per kw. So based on this my monthly cost runs between - $23.40 to $35.10 or so about a $1 a day. Recommendation - This product runs quiet and in my opinion very efficiently. It meets the needs that I purchased the Lasko for and have had no service problems at all with the unit. I feel good using this method to use the same amount of power but be more comfortable. Pros - * Energy Efficient ( note this is for radiant heat for a small space as a supplement to an HVAC system ) * Quiet and I really like the oscillator function .. I think it is effective in heating the area * Looks much nicer than a typical space heater Cons - * I really don't think I needed to pay for the remote - I never use it but for some it may be nice I hope this review is helpful .. if it is please let me know.

This is a great little heater we use on our sunporch. Not too large so it fits our space well. It’s fairly quiet and not too hot to touch. Temp can be set and maintained, and it can oscillate or not as you prefer. Comes with a remote control we don’t use but nice to have. Recommend!
