Pierre Cardin Eau de Cologne Spray 8 oz

Let's get a few surprises out of the way first.Your Pierre Cardin should say made by Five Star Fragrances made in USA located at the lower back of the box.Secondly there should be a label on the bottom of the bottle:says Pierre Cardin,manufacturer,oz./ml size,and bar code.Secondly,the PC emblem on the dome cap is no longer put on.A long story behind that but a lot of old-school scents are going through consolidations as they aren't the high volume movers anymore.A better phrasing is lack of department store presentation-fewer dyes used against the old days richer color.Detail craftsmanship taken away like the dome cap marking and another example is British Sterling now missing it's chrome sleeve.Is it still Pierre Cardin?To my nose I don't detect a reformulation and if so not noticeable enough to steal the thunder from owning it in the past though a more sensitive nose might disagree.For me Pierre Cardin was a 4-star cologne,I liked it a lot but took three sprays to smell it clearly on me.So yes I went through a bottle fairly quick.Jovan's Sex Appeal For Men quickly filled this void with it's identical sandalwood/musk/patchouli/amber base to Pierre Cardin and better priced.More edgy,potent,and a little went a long way.Pierre Cardin I have to admit even today still retains it's more colorful character though.Smoother with a light sweetness with notes of cinnamon and carnation surfacing on drydown to the patchouli spectrum to keep things interesting.Here's the kicker though the 4oz. cologne splash of Sex Appeal by Jovan is discontinued going at $30 for a bottle (formerly $14-$16 in stores) only the 3oz. spray is made now.Pierre Cardin has a much more solid price factor now in my opinion.Conclusion:Twenty one dollars for a 8oz. spray bottle of Pierre Cardin?(thumbs up)yeah I can live with that.Hell I'll credit it a star for being cheaper alone minus the increased import cost you used to pay for previously being made in France and two letters on the cap.5-stars!

Ordered 2 of the Pierre Cardin Cologne 8oz bottles.....I forgot that 8oz size is quite large, so I was pleasantly surprised when the bottles came; I was happy with the volume for the money. The only downside was that one of the bottles had a cracked top (the silver dome portion, which is plastic). The box package itself was pristine, with no outer damage, so I wasn't sure why only the silver top of the bottle inside the package had such extensive cracking. But the cracked top did not affect the spray nozzle nor did it leak, which was fortunate. Overall however, I would rate it highly for the amount of cologne you get for the price.

I wore this scent a few years back and loved it then as I love it now. I purchased this not only for nostalgia, but the great price and I'm so glad I did. It has a soft yet masculine scent that stays with you but not in an overbearing way. If you like people asking "what is that great scent you're wearing" then this is for you.

Smell good but not last compare orhers..others... doesn't matter good perfume

Pierre Cardin is the best cologne scent for men ever. I have been wearing it since my youth and for 35 years it has drawn my favorite girl. My daughters like it too. Since for years now I have mostly worn it on the Sabbath to attend Church and ministering duties in my suit and tie, when my little girls smell it, big smiles come, and with warm hugs they tell me I smell like Sunday.

The smell is great and long lasting. A good price for a great cologne.

The smell is decent just doesn't last long at all. Suppose that's what you get for so much at the price .

Just as i remember. I had a cousin who wore this everyday. I didnt like it then but that was because i was 12 or 13 and only liked old spice. Lol. Now im more into colognes. Not my favorite but i do wear it on my bike rides or to clean my vehicles.
