Bood arrived today but unfortunately on printing the book the pages from 39 to 52 were not cut correctly and a portion of the pages stick outside of the covers. Basically a reject book you would expect to buy a discount and not full price. Will not consider purchasing again via this seller.

With my love of all things aviation and a life-long love of history, this book caught my attention after I had read the story behind the book at the Daily Mail a few days ago (as of this writing). The story actually brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat. The story of two WWII aviator pilots on opposite sides of the war - who, against all odds, found one another long after the war ended and sparked up a life-long friendship. Having read the story and bought the book, you should consider buying this book. Amazing story - and every bit of it heart-felt and true.

Absolutely loved this book. So insightful into pilots from both Germany and USA fighting in ww2. Based on the true story of the painting on the cover. Highly recommended.

Un libro davvero imperdibile per gli appassionati del genere. Non tanto per l'episodio centrale (che alla fine occupa un paio di capitoli) quanto per la storia del pilota tedesco che svela come una intera generazione finì nel tritacarne della IIGM senza essere minimamente nazista ma ciononostante combatté fino all'ultimo per una causa che sapeva persa da tempo. Molto interessante anche il racconto delle ultime fasi del conflitto quando la Luftwaffe iniziò ad impiegare i primi aerei a reazione Me262

É um momento da história que deve ser divulgado para os quatro cantos do mundo. Precisamos ampliar o dever de sermos verdadeiros seres humanos e abandonarmos as atitudes que nos transformam em monstros seja em tempos de guerra ou de paz.Excelente trabalho
