Watch out before you get these bags! Read the description well. They will not prevent any device from being hacked even if you place one bag inside the other. All signals still pass through but are slightly reduced. The seller will reject any liability arising from this.Also, you will not be able to get any proper refund because they will deduct shipping, handling, and any unavoidable handling marks. My customer service experience was not great at all.Update: the bags, although incapable of blocking signals on their own, can still reduce the signal enough to pair them up with a different Faraday bag for total blocking. Nothing in this market blocks completely on its own. All products are way overhyped and often lose signal blocking within months. Multiple nesting with different products works until they fall apart from overuse.

CELL PHONES USE MICROWAVE FREQUENCIES BETWEEN 450-2100MGZ, THIS IS COMPLETELY ABS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THAN THE WAVES OF AN EMP BLAST, WHICH IS BASICALLY A POWERFUL BLAST OF ELECTRICITY IN THE AIR. THESE BAGS WORK BY THE METALLIC FEATURE OF THE BAGS BASICALLY CATCHING AND ABSORBING THE EMO BLAST, WHILE SHIELDING THE BLAST FROM REACHING THE ELECTRONIX GIZMO AND FRYINF CIRCUITRY. LIKE A LIGHTENING ROD DOES ATTRACTS AND GROUND A LIGHTNING BOLT ALTHOUGH A DIRECTED BOLT OF ELECTRICITY IS DIFFERENT. THE BAGS THAT ARE APPROX .13-16 ARE "NESTING BAGS" AND MENT TO BE OUT INTO AN ACTUAL FARADAY BOX. THEY DO NOT BLOCK ANYTHING. THEY ARE BASICALLY SHINY ZIPLOCK BAGS WITH A CRAPPIER ZIPLOCK. THE BAGS OF .40m comprehensive (8.millimeter) ARE THICK ENOUGH TO BLOCK NEARLY ALL EMP. IF YOUR TALKING FROM A NUCLEAR BLAST, THESE BAGS WILL BLOG THE EMP BLAST AT A CERTAIN DISTANCE. AT CLOSER DISTANCES THE EMP WILL BASICALLY MELT THE METALLIC FEATURE OF THE BAG AND FRY THE DEVICE BUT!!!!!! AT THE DISTANCE TO THE EMP SOURCE THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN, YOU WOULD BE KILLED BY THE BLAST WAVE, THE HEAT AND FIRE, OR THE RADIATION. IT WOULD HAPPEN SO QUICK YOU WOULDNT BE ALIVE LONG ENOUGH TO OPEN THE BAG AND PULL THE DEVICE OUT ANYWHERE. AT THE DISTANCE YOU EITHER WILL SURVIVE OR COULS SURVIVE IF YOU MOVE AWAY QUICK ENOUGH TO AVOID FALLOUT, AND THE LIKE, THE EMP WILL HAVE WEAKENED ENOUGH YOUR DEVICE WILL SURVIVE. FROMMY INDEPENDANT TEST AND OPINION OF THIS PRODUCT, I BELIEVE THESE BAGS ARE A GREAT VALUE, HAVE GREAT FEATURES, WILL LAST A DECENT AMOUNT OF TIME, IF NOT OVERPACKED AND /OR ABUSED. THE MATERIAL SEEMS WELL MADE, AND I BELIEVE IS A GOOD VALUE. I USED THESE BAGS TO STORE MY HANDHELD GPS WHICH IS ALWAYS IN MY EDC BAG, STORE MY KST/BAOFENG/ VV-898 "MANPACK" 25w MOBILE WITH ITS SELF CONTAINED BATTERY PACK, ONE RADIO IS IN THE MY EDC BAG, ALONG WITH THE RADIO MY WIFE CARRIES IN HER EDC BAG. I ALSO STORE 3 OTHER HANDHELDS AT HOME IN THESE BAGS. THAT WAY IF THERE IS EVER AN EMP BLAST, ME AND MY WIFE HAVE COMMS. MY PRIVATE REPEATER IN MY HOME IS EMP HARDENED AND BOTH ME AND MY WIFE CAN HIT THE REPEATER AT BOTH OUR JOBS, AND MOST NEARBY FAMILY MEMBERS HOMES. THIS WAY IF THERE IS EVERY AN EMP BLAST, THE POWER GRID GOES DOWN ETC, WE HAVE COMMS RIGHT AWAY AND THEY ARE WATERPROOFED AND EMP HARDENED WHILE STORED IN OUR BAGS. I RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT, ALL MEMBERS OF MY OATHKEEPERS CPT TEAM MEMBERS STORE THEIR HANDHELDS IN THESE BAGS AS WELL. HIGHLY RECCOMEND. HAVE A GOOD DAY.

inserted my IPhone into the bags when just when I unboxed the bag. I was in my kitchen and asked my fried to call my phone. phone did not ring and she could not get through. Asked her to send text. Same result.BUT, I left it sealed in the bag, drove about 1 mile toward a friends house and then heard my phone receive text while sealed in the bag. Assume I got closer to a cell tower. All events took place within city limits and with typically excellent cell reception. SO, the bag works fair, but NOT GOOD ENOUGH to eliminate all the signals.

These bags work ok, but often multiple nested bags are needed to fully block RF signals. They are advertised as 'blackout" bags but one bag doeann't even block a cell phone signal, bluetooth or wifi. So, knowing this going in, just use multiple bags.

I just received the Faraday Cage Back Emp in the mail. It fit my backup hard drive perfect with plenty of room to spare. I was a little disappointed when it would barely zip close when I put the Hard-drive in its case into the bag, but it did finally zip closed. I will definitely be ordering several more of these, and possibly the larger ones also later. I have included several pictures also to show you the size, along with the hard drive case that I mentioned. The three that I received were unmarked and undamaged in any way. I would recommend this to anyone who uses electronic devices on a daily basis.
