Not a lot of padding. Fades pretty quickly in the wash, even if you take the absolute most caution. It served its purpose and you couldn’t really hand make one for any cheaper. I loved the design and easy to roll up and store design. It fits perfectly in his cubby at school. I washed his once a week (school mandatory) so maybe that’s more frequent than others and why the color faded so quickly. But it’s just realistic if it’s for your toddler in school. You can’t risk not washing frequently. But overall I was pleased and would by again.
